Reminder: Nintendo Is Always Delaying Major Zelda Games

Its seems only Zelda game that didnt dalayed was Majora's Mask.

Except that, Zelda U is freaking huge, much bigger than any Zelda game before, they need more time to make all that right, really no need for all this Zelda/WiiU/Nintendo doom threads.

"With the hardware capabilities of Wii U, we first started by saying if we can take an entire world the size of the world from Twilight Princess, and make that the size of one of the areas in the game."

You think they'd have learnt to add some extra time onto their release date projections by now... at least they're being sensible now by not giving a date.

That isn't the problem. The problem is if they decide to release it on NX (assuming it is a home console) I can't see them doing a dual release on the Wii U and NX if that is the case.

I don't see there being anyway this game will not be released on WiiU, if it's on NX it'll be on both. If this game doesn't come to WiiU and is only on there next platform Nintendo is going to lose a lot of fans...

I think the point of the OP is that the delay doesn't mean anything because it is expected for Zelda.  Even Majors was delayed, it was originally Zelda Gaiden scheduled for 1999.

Zelda U 100% coming on Wii U, in worst case they can pull TP and release is on two platforms in same time, but hardly because NX is probably next handheld and we dont know if can be released in 2016.

The Nintendoom is pretty sad these days. Wii U has been littered with fantastic games for a while now, and more games are on the way. People are just looking to ride them about something or another. Nintendo could have had the most powerful hardware and be packed full of 3rd party support and people would still be complaining about something. Nintendo did the right thing with the delay. They should be hyping the heck out of Star Fox anyway.

I don't think we'll see the game on the Wii U in any form.

That's not a fair argument to make. Even though those games were delayed they still came out pretty early in the console's lifecycle. For example, Ocarina of Time had bad delays but still came out only 2 years after the N64. Twilight Princess was delayed but was a launch title for Wii.

It will be 4 years without a Zelda game for the Wii U. I think it's clear that this is an NX title now.

Hah, that's an interesting fact. Wasn't Majora's Mask a Zelda game with a short development cycle? That's pretty impressive.
