Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo: E3 will focus on games launching in 2015 - Wii U's last year as focus?

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2015/03/27/the-legend-of-zelda-for-wii-u-has-been-delayed

"As Mr. Aonuma announced, The Legend of Zelda game for Wii U is no longer targeted as a 2015 release. Rather than sticking to a specific schedule, the team wants to make this the most complete and the best game it can possibly be. The new launch timing has not yet been determined. Because we’d like to focus on developing the game, we aren’t planning on showing it at this year’s E3, where we will be highlighting games launching in 2015. We will let you know when we’re ready to share more specifics."

Little focus on 2016 makes it seem like there isn't much left coming for the Wii U.

Why are so many people suspecting Zelda U to become either an NX exclusive, or cross gen? I myself don't see it happening. Anyway, I hope Nintendo has some other neat games to show at E3.

gamers dont realize theres more games coming than just Zelda right ? what are they suppose to do cross gen them all or hold all games for the next consoles .. logic people logic

It def won't be NX. Ninten won't do that. They won't screw Ninten and Wii U fans like that. It's def being Wii U, and unless it's delayed to 2017, I don't really see it being cross gen. Zelda will be out around mid next year. No worries ; )

Makes sense, Yoshi's Woolly World, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Maker, Devil's Third, Star Fox are all major Nintendo published titles that are releasing between E3 and the end of the year. Also I'm sure we can expect a couple surprises and 3DS has nothing set for the second half of the year so we are certain to get some big announcements fon that front.

It seems weird that they're not showing any 2016 titles at e3... I don't expect Zelda to move to NX, but looks like WiiU is definitely winding down after this year.

We'll it doesn't necessarily say they will not show any 2016 games, just that they will highlight 2015 titles.

Oh right, well that's ok then! Not that I don't expect the WiiU's launches to start declining after this year still but hoping to see some great new announcements at e3 then!

Hope we`ll see what NLG has been working on...

That's why they have things called Directs to keep us informed throughout the upcoming months of big games to release
