Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo needs a Direct, N- Oh, wait. Never mind.

This is completely unacceptable. This is the third consecutive year, as in every single year since launch, that there's been a drought during the first half of the year for the Wii U. All 2015 has to show for so far is a bad Mario Party game and what ammounts to a Kirby eshop game. And what's worst of all is that, even after the delay of Zelda, consumers are left completely in the dark about literally anything.

May for Splatoon. That's it. That's all anyone truly knows with reguards to the 2015 line up for the Wii U. What the hell are they even doing over there? How are we not in the know about anything this year, after a literally terrible 2015 so far from the Wii U. And what about the 3DS? What is there past the N3DS exclusive remake releasing next week?

Genuinely, what reason does anyone legitimately have to have any faith in either of these two systems providing a satisfying experience when Nintendo is leaving us completely in the dark for literally months during the worst Wii U drought since the system's launch, and off the cusp of the most significant delay the console will likely ever see? Nintendo seriously needs to get there shit together and start dropping solid release dates for these games, because this drought, both in games and in consumer awareness, is bull shit. Right now, the most I have to look forward to in the near future is maybe a good Gold reward from Club Nintendo.

We need a Direct, NOW.

I agree with your sentiment, but everyone needs to chill the hell out.

I actually agree. I think Nintendo has handled the early year doldrums better (whether I LIKE MP10 is irrelevant really, this isn't the worst drought in the system's history), but we still don't know anything about April onward and it's breeding panic and rumors. With the recent announcements AND the Zelda delay, it's only going to get worse. Nintendo NEEDS to give a state of the union and stabilize the chaos or the media is going to runaway with goodness knows how many rumors and crap. And yeah, I would also like more info, thank you very much.

Yep they need to reassure the people who own a wii u that things are still coming. They can't afford to alienate current wii u owners because they are the ones most likely to buy their next console

A direct would definitely soothe fans over.

I hope you're joking.

I agree with everything. This is piss poor behaviour from Nintendo. Everyone thinks they're rich and it's impossible for them to reach Sega's depths but if they keep up with this bull shit they'll be there in no time.

A Direct punch in the face?

I genuinely don't think that anyone has a reason to chill right now. Not when the last relevant full priced Wii U game came out in November.
