Today I´m deeply ashamed of being a Nintendo fan too.

I´m mad with this news, but this overreaction, this spontaneous and childish hate just for one game delayed... it´s annoying.

It's not about just one game being delayed, this is just the straw that broke the camel's back. After four years of drought and delays, we've had enough.

This ^

Nintendo has been half assed with their home console this generation and its just getting pathetic with the drought after drought and that they cant even get their own games out in a timely fashion.

Hell they had a damn sidescroller announced 2 years ago and it still isnt done(yarn yoshi)

Now they delay their only big hitter for the year that actually would move consoles, mind boggling

It sucks but Wii U still has a pretty solid line up of exclusives releasing this year

Splatoon, Yoshi's Woolly World, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Maker, Devil's Third, Star Fox

That's actually terrible when you consider that those are pretty much the only games.

The only *announced* games. Iwata has explicitly said that there are more games to announce for 2015.

All we can do is wait and see. I'm going to go on the record and say nothing of note will be announced. Maybe Paper Mario Wiiu, but that is the only game of some prestige that would be reasonably hidden for so long. Best case scenario imo.

And I can't speak for everyone, but atleast for me, the fact that they just delayed their top holiday game makes me wonder if I should look forward to E3 at all. I mean, what can they possibly have to announce to make up for it? The answer is most likely nothing. I don't want more Mario, the only thing that would make up for it would be Metroid Prime 4... :(

It's modern Nintendo, they won't give us Metroid, they'll offer some safe, conservative garbage like Diddy Kong Racing 2 or Animal Crossing U that nobody wanted or asked for, then wonder why their sales  coninue to decline into irrelevance.

I´m sorry but you are being overdramatic today (no offense, I feel you).Is like suddlenly any other WiiU game has dissapeared, and you are taking only the bad side of this, haven´t you think that maybe there´s another system seller coming this year and they feel that they can delay Zelda thanks to it? Haven´t you think that maybe this is a sign of a healthy 2016 for WiiU? Or that maybe they are not lying when they are saying that this will be the "Definitive" Zelda that we are going to love until the grave? Have you realized that WiiU can be getting the best game of the year anyways (Xenoblade)? Or that maybe Star Fox is not the big shit all we are waiting and is actually a praised game? Do you remember Splatoon coming in less than 2 months?

I mean, yeah, that´s all optimistic stuff, I know. But I have the same chance to be right than you being so pessimistic today. You are chosing be pessimistic now because your illusions of playing Zelda this year has been broken, But you have to agree with me that there´s some childishness on that behavious, is like a tantrum. Please, Curl, at least wait until the E3 before you lose your faith in such way.

The Wii was left to rot in 2011 and 2012.

You're right, I am pissed off and behaving irrationally. But it's not so easy to accept that my main hobby since the age of 5 and one of my primary tools for coping with stress is drying up on me. If things keep going like this, I can't see myself remaining a gamer.
If the last 4 years have taught me anything, it's that optimistic expectations of Nintendo nearly always lead to crushing disappointment. I'd rather not go through that cycle again, it's getting old.

You can count the Wii but i cant the 3ds? :)

Completely disagree.

They paid for their WiiUs. They have the right to vent. It's the only thing they can do. And it's good that they do. Only stupid people do nothing or defend a company when it shortchanges them.

How is a company going to get better if all the feedback is positive? The backlash keeps the company on their toes. It stops them from getting complacent. Just look at how the quality of other companies have plummeted. That's what happen when your customers drink your kool-aid no matter what. Crappy yearly sequels? Unfair DLC? Amazing devs getting sacked? People keep buying the products in mass anyway.

Its good to know that there's a fanbase in gaming willing to bite the hand of their company of choice. No defend their mediocrity or ignore the problems exist.

Nintendo fanbase. I'm proud of you. Other fanbases should learn.
