Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Could Zelda's delay help other Wii U games sales?

was thinking that with Zelda delay that could Wii U owners be so thirsty for games that it in the end helps the sales for Xenoblade, Splatoon, and Devils Third and so on? I know this sounds weird but its interesting to think about that other Wii U games could benefit from it espically one's that will probably launch in like Ocotber and November.

No to your question, but I think it could open the possibilities of getting other games that were not considered before (I am looking at you, FATAL FRAME 5), as it could fill up a void in the lineup (september-october release?)

their other game sales wont matter really, this will effect their actual console sales, big time

that definitetly could be good like with Zelda's delay we may actually get Fatal Frame for Halloween and maybe even speed up the process of Xenoblade X's localization since NoA probably not focusing on localizing Zelda right now.

Nah,

they need...

1. U Animals crossing (animals U cross?)

2. Fire emblem U

3. Transfer of all virtual console games from wii to Wii U.

4. F zero

5. Civilization console version exclusive to wii u with amazing touch screen controls....dear god!

but instead they will release the New Wii U with Zelda U as the launch title. It will be more powerful and it will piss everyone off who owns a wii u. None of the whiners who complained about the wii u and didn't buy it, will buy the new Wii U, even though it will be what the asked for. None of the original loyal fans will buy the new Wii U, and history will repeat itself (sega). NX = New (N) Wii U (x being the sign of the prototype leaving it ambiguous)

Schedule could be something like...

May - Splatoon

July - Yoshi's Woolly World

August - Devil's Third

September - Xenoblade Chronicles X

October - Fatal Frame 5, Mario Maker

November - Star Fox U, surprise game announced in E3

December - Maybe nothing

swap Devil's Third and Xenoblade and this probably going to be the line up we definitetly need a Nintendo direct to give us some release months/windows.

I know a lot of people have dismissed this, but I think there's a chance of it. A lot of people would have payed more attention to Zelda U than any other game, and now the others will have their chance in the spotlight this holiday and that could bring more success to titles like Yoshi or Devil's Third that otherwise might've been looked over.

Although this still isn't better than if Zelda had launched this year, because that would've resulted in more people purchasing the system and therefore more people buying previous games (like Smash or MK8) in addition to Zelda. But I digress.

Well, I'll have $60 and at least 50 hours to spend on other games this year. Gotta find that silver lining.

Will probably help X's and Starfox's sales abit, but they're going to have a tough time moving consoles unless they pull a rabbit out of their hat at E3.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
