Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Could Zelda's delay help other Wii U games sales?

was thinking that with Zelda delay that could Wii U owners be so thirsty for games that it in the end helps the sales for Xenoblade, Splatoon, and Devils Third and so on? I know this sounds weird but its interesting to think about that other Wii U games could benefit from it espically one's that will probably launch in like Ocotber and November.

Not by a lot.

More like the opposite. Few were waiting for Zelda, so no hurry to buy a Wii U.

Oh, still no. In fact, a system seller like Zelda will entice people to try new games, and considering the game is delayed some may have the perception that there are many few more games for release. Nintendo needs something big and I expect Animal Crossing, a game that sells a lot more than Zelda.

I think it will. Nintendo will probably market them even more than they would because they won't be marketing Zelda. So I feel like games like Xenoblade, Splatoon, Devil's Third, Star Fox, Mario Maker and etc will all get more marketing treatments to show people just because Zelda isn't coming this year, doesn't mean all these other amazing games aren't.

that is true cause imagine that Nintendo didn't market Bayonetta 2 that much was cause of them focusing on marketing Pokemon and both version of Smash Bros.
