I understand the delay. It will be a huge game, and I expect it to be if not the best, one of the best Zeldas ever made. I would wait until its release to see if this delay is justified, I hope so. But, what bothers me is this: if you cannot say a realistic date, don't say it. Wait until it's safe. I know all the companies do that, but it's not justifiable.

If it was delayed like TP to be a NX launch title it would be really sad and a really bad signal from Nintendo.

It's right now a bad sign, but what can we expect? After holiday 2010 the decided to delay SS for holiday 2011. After that, we expect to see great games on Wii U at launch, and what we got? Nothing.

What's the chances of nintendo releasing Twilight princess HD this year to fill the void? They must have some kind of back up plan.

I'm leaning towards Holiday 2016,which is pretty sad

1) Well.. They delayed it cause they got some new ideas and stuff so I doubt the game itself will go down in quality and expectations

2) Isn't that in 2016... It kinda makes sense if it got delayed to 2016 when its Zelda's anniversary...

3) Probably in 2016 cause 30th anniversary makes too much sense

4) That took like what? 10 people?

6) Master the HD with the wiiU, get an unified OS, speed up development time

1.- They changed the art style in Skyward Sword. That alone changes the vision. They cut forests, bosses and missions in Twilight Princess.

2and3.- That's what I said. Asuming they delay is just for only year, they can be doing only for that. That's lame here and in Jupiter.

4.- How do you know that? And asuming you are right, that's 10 people's work for 4 years.

6.- All those remakes were made by 10 people and the rest of the staff can do an HD game? What will you expect next gen when they have to develop prettier graphics?

1) Yea but I doubt they would scrap the whole entire world for this... If anything, they are simply just adding in things...

2/3) I dont like delays either and publishers should just do a TBA if they really don't have a solid release window but it is what it is

4) Okay, I thought I read it was 10 people somewhere but WWHD was developed in 6 months and OOT3d and MM3d was co-developed by Grezzo and not to mention that HD development is a lot harder than 3ds development in terms of porting so I highly doubt those took very long or much man power

6) Well the transition from wii to wiiU is a bigger step than ps2 to ps3 or ps3 to ps4 and the wiiU has some dx11/dx10 (or equivalent) features which they can use in their next gen console where as since the wii was soo weak, a lot of the things were new to them with the wiiU. Whatever they learn now, a lot should be usable in their next gen console imo

I don't see the delay as a declaration of Nintendo reconstructing or changing the game they are already making. If anything, they only figured they needed more time for exactly that, and for adding the new ideas they came up with in the midst of development. Which has always been the case.

1) Delays are not always good for Zelda.

4) And people told me Hyrule Warriors will be completly third party and we know how that ended.

6) It will help for sure in case the future development tools are similar to the Wii U ones.

Pretty sure I'm done with Nintendo and consoles in general now. I'm going back to PC full time. I'll get Zelda when it eventually comes out, but it's the lack of Metroid that sucks the most tbh.

So youre done with consoles and are going to pc? but pc shares the same AAA games now...?

That was my original prediction before I went optimistic. Guess this is the last time.

The game is not going to be even at E3 because they don't want to show it. That doesn't ring the alarms for you?
