Forums - Microsoft Discussion - XBOX ONE will dominate this holiday homies!

Well, if Sony just moved all their exclusives to the holiday season, they would have a great holiday line up, as well. Instead, they prefer to keep the momentum up throughout the year, which is the smarter thing to do.

Of course, this thread is a bit premature anyway, since we need to wait til E3 to see if Sony has something for later this year. Which I'm sure they do. There's also the price cut, which if it is truly the $100 price cut some think it will be, will mostly nullify the sway of those games.

might hold true if you only count "AAA" super high budget, super high profile titles, but in quantity the X1 will probably get less exclusives throughout the year or even just the holiday quarter

From a games perspective Forza, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Halo 5 will be hard to beat. From a sales perspective I'm not ready to rule out the PS4. It could ride it out on good AAA multiplats alone. Sony may also have a few surprises at E3 as well.

Halo 5 will be a big one. But I've never seen Not-GT as a system seller, and to my understanding, there are more people boycotting Xbox One over the Tomb Raider stuff than buying into it.

When the drought starts they might be compelled after Halo 5 drops to pick up Tomb Raider as well. Thats a one two punch thats barely fair.

You really think all those exclusives will come in 2015 for xbone?

Either if they did, Bloodborne is way better even alone and coming in march.

You bring up a good point thats Sony's GOTY. WItcher 3 will most likely be a GOTY. Microsoft has Halo 5 and Tomb Raider though which are both GOTY contenders as well.

I dunno.  Tomb Raider's timed exclusivity seemed to have a pretty negative backlash.

It did, but that was mostly to gamers who pay attention like us. If gamers see a Halo 5 bundle and Tomb Raider 2 bundle, it will help. Microsoft won the holidays last year off of the back of Sunset Overdrive and Assassins Creed. Do you see how they just raised the bar? LOL

Unless Sony does something at E3 MS has the 2015 holiday season in the bag. The bundles no doubt will be at the same price as well.

A simple PS4 price cut would ruin everything in regards to sales.

I can't wait to see how things shape up at E3 for the holiday lineup. Before E3, declaring domination seems a bit...premature.

On the upside, excellent XBO games to play in 2015, excellent PS4/WiiU games to play 2016

win win situation no?
