Forums - Sales Discussion - The Countdown to No Numbers March

It's 27 March (or nearly 27 March for some of you) and we have no charts for any March week. Will we see an unprecedented event of a full month expiring without any numbers being published for any week in that month?

VGC has so far failed to even provide the full sales data for the final week in February.

We don't even have pre-order numbers for the first week in March. What's up with that?

So, what do you think?

Will we have a complete shut out and not get any numbers for march published in March?

Will we get no sales numbers, but get at least 1 week of March pre-order numbers?

Is VGChartz shutting down by stealth? And was February the last month of VGChartz as we know it? I call on ioi to come and tell us what's going on. Where is VGChartz going? What is its future?

LOL good to know i wasnt the only one keeping an eye on the date to see if we would make a month with no numbers.

also i guess if we get updates they will either be really slow or we will get a bunch of them, one every day for 3 days to go for almost all march till now... yeah maybe something like that

Thats what I've been thinking of in the past weeks while coming on this site

    PS4 Game Collection

Haha our own little version of March Madness!

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

It has to be a stealth shutdown. I guess as long as it has enough hits we can at least keep the site online for the forum and the games database

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

If it does shut down, can we launch Vgcharts again as a replacement? Lol

Theory. ioi was last online 12 march... which also happened to be NDP day. I think he saw how bad he was off in Feb and rage quit.

This is actually quite unusual, it worries me that it's taking this long to get numbers out. Month-old numbers are no longer news and won't generate much traffic either.

We're on a great course to have these threads daily now :)

We'll see. Maybe ioi has a nice surprise for us. Maybe he's working on predictions now and is actually preparing all the numbers until the end of 2015 at once!!!

I would be up for that, as long as the data was based on official / verifiable sources.

There are a few guys (and gals?) here who keep their own sales databases and their information could form the basis for a pretty decent website based around sales data.
