Forums - Gaming Discussion - Who still does local multi-player?

I do this with Tekken Tag Tournament 2 with friends!

I love playing local multiplayer! I play Super Smash Bros and Tales of games that way. It's lots of fun and way better than online multiplayer.

I agree. A huge part of it are peoples reactions which you don't see when you play someone online. When it's a super close match, or someone is being dominated and then someone gets a pillow in the face or something lol. It's just a good time.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

I made new friends as the old ones are all too busy to come over nowadays. It was a lot of work, still is and they're only 3 and 5 so far, but we have fun playing Mario, Terraria and Minecraft in local multiplayer.

I play a lot of local mp with my brother and my nephew :).

All the time, Im lucky and live with two friends who love smash bros as much as me(over 200 hours logged already). We've also played a lot of Mario 3d world, Mario kart, halo mcc, and some sports games over the last year. Oh and zombiu, that game has awesome local multiplayer, invite a friend over if you've never tried it.

We still play Tekken, Capcom vs SNK 2, King of Fighters XIII, and other such fighters here at the house. Hell, we still play Garouden Break Blow: Fist or Twist here.

Quite often, but sadly less these days as less games support it. I just want an arcade racer I can sit on a couch and race a friend with, why is this so hard?

I hardly ever play online in any capacity.

Everytime I can!

Geometry Wars 2, Resident Evil 5, Gears of War 3, Portal 2, Fable 2...or even some more traditional local multi, as in beating Super Meat Boy while sharing the controller, or in Brothers: A tale of two sons, where one had the left side of the controller and the other, the right one.

From time to time. Mostly N64: Diddy Kong Racing, Snowboard kids, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis etc...

Ain't no party like a Mario party.

I occasionally play Smash Wii U at one of my friend's house, but that's about it.
