Forums - Movies & TV - FIRST LOOK: Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

They should hire Bruce Willis, like Injustice: God Among Us' version of Lex Luthor!

Uh... Passable.
Even not having the phisical type of Luthor, Gene Hackman was the perfect incarnation to me.

God no. Hackman was such a joke in the role. Of course, the script wasn't very good to begin with, but his incarnation was a caricature at best. He didn't have any menacing presence at all. He was basically just a clown going around saying he is "the greatest criminal mind of our time" every 3 sentences. As if saying it would make it true, despite him never actually acting as such.

Looks pretty fitting. Reminds me of the Smallville Lex Luthor.

The smallville lex luthor was during a time when clark kent was a teenager.
This here doesnt fit at all because Jesse looks to young imo.

This guy would be a better lex luthor even tho he is a bit to old (focus is on BETTER than Jesse)

I was so hoping for Bryan Cranston.

Jesse Eisenberg shaved his head and the photographer has instagram filters. Good to know!

I never mind them changing things as long as it works for a film like the Mandarin twist which I loved. So I'd say with his past that he can pull off Lex classically or differently well

every one i know hate that twist including me , nice to see one who loved that

Most people I've seen (whether in the theater or showing them afterwards) have lol'd at it and loved.  Some were confused at first but as the film went on they enjoyed it.  It fit well in the story and Ben Kingsley killed it.  Plus the die hard "everything has to be the same as the comics even though movies are an entirely different medium and surprises are good" people can be satisfied because it wasn't the "real Mandarin" as they revealed in the Marvel One Shot with him.

On this portrayal.

Have to see it in action, but he seems younger than classic 40 year old Lex that I imagine. Just hope he has the presence and charisma the character requires.

I think they want Lex to be the same age as Superman, which makes since WE are making a shared universe and needs all the actors as young as they can to play the same role for years to come.

Then why did they cast Ben Affleck, he is well over 40. Same goes for Amy Adams.

that's awful.

him with his annoying face with shaved head... is that even an official picture or taken from its facebook?

If that was the case when someone spoke about something they have no clue about, then this would be one empty forum...
