they were filming the whole day and im pretty sure it wasnt just him who had no hot food.

everybody did their part, just the person who should get hot food didnt feeled like doing his job.

Pretty sure the guys title is assistant producer, not caterer.  I think he might have had more responsibilities than just getting hot food.

Must be tiring to film a full day of being an asshole making millions of pounds.

well just the star is getting the millions of pounds, not the rest of the team

he didnt beat him up because the food was cold, he beat him up because he wasnt sry that the food was cold.

if you do something wrong, dont act like an ass and nobody will punch you

Or, OR act like a civilized person and don't punch people period.

I mean, wow, he had the nerve not to be sorry that the food was cold! Give me a break.

they were filming the whole day and im pretty sure it wasnt just him who had no hot food.

That's why that person should have received a formal warning or even gotten fired for incompetence, not punched.

According to reports, they were supposed to arrive at the hotel at 8pm, where they would have had hot food. Instead, the 3 presenters went for a 2 hour drinking session and arrived at the hotel late, after many of the crew had gone to bed and the chef had gone home.

No incompetence on anyone's part.

Stop worrying for good ol' Claxon, he found a way to unchain again his inner yokel scot-free!

Now he just needs to add cars to the new program and his public will be fine too.

LOL if the guy was 'beat up' he wouldn't off been able to drive himself to the hospital.  Are you seriously telling me you've never seen a fight at work? familiarity breeds contempt and working with the same people day in and out for years well tempers run high.

I don't know what zoos you've worked at, but fights in the work place are far from normal.

I just read over this thread and, holy fuck, I'm shocked at people blaming the BBC.

Physically assault someone at work for a stupid reason and YOUR ASS SHOULD BE FIRED.  Fucking period.  I don't give a damn if you liked the show, I don't give a damn if you thought he was funny.  None of that has anything to do with him facing the consequences of his actions.

“It’s about trying to run a farm when you don’t know anything about farming, and... getting things wrong, in a Top Gear-esque way.”

Sounds great, I'd watch it...

So you believe that the UK government/people of the UK should pay this mans salary? An aggressive, racist man who committed a crime (again) and will do so again. He doesn't suit the BBC and would be better off with netflix or someone else.

Fuck no. Hope nobody thinks that. BBC is possibly the most ridiculous tax there is!

And the best television and radio network in the world as a result.

I've got plenty left to watch on BBC. The Proms for instance, and their nature and travel documentaries.

I don't know who that guy is nor I have watched the show, but he sounds like a entitled douche.

It was the only show worth watching on TV (well, iplayer tbh).

I haven't renewed the TV licence in ages. Things wont be changing anytime soon.

Good for you. I however think everything on the BBC is crap yet still have to pay for it.

If they actually made good stuff then surely they'd be able to survive as a normal channel, the fact that they don't is proof enough that their stuff just isn't good enough to survive by itself.

Complete nonsense my man. Their "stuff" is reknown the world over. If they were a "normal channel", the quality would surely drop like a stone.
