True, because masters can only be indies, as they cannot have masters.

MH frontier isn't new and it doesn't make any sense to make it ps4/pc.

Looks like it made enough sense to develop a proper MH on PS4/PC and even XB1.

Monster Hunter Frontier, lol.

It was big on the Wii so if they do it right it can be big on ps4. Could also be dipping their toe in the water before going for monster hunter 5!

Not MH5 but a proper entry none the less.

Sorry I don't believe this rumour. Not in the slightest Lol. It would be on vita before ps4

Looks like it never came to vita but it's coming to ps4. Although you could remote play it on vita!

By fall 2016 or later the vita might be dead.  Meanwhile the ps4 will be a beast.  Over 50 million easily.

Great call. And we are only halfway through 2016 and it's already breezed past 60m!

Ha I thought some people would jump the gun. This isn't remotely impressive announcement.

Looks like we got our impressive announcement today. MH: World!

nah, this is clearly fake since capcom and nintendo have a deal with MH

EDIT: frontier.... oh well..

Looks like the deal has expired.

Frontier = not the "real" Monster Hunter series.

XBox even had a MH Frontier game I think.

Maybe so but the real series is there now.

LOL no, Wii U and 3DS is the ideal :)

It would sell way more on ps4 than Wii u and the ps4 will live on for many years longer.  Ps4 and either 3ds or its successor is ideal

Okay first of all, you have no proof it would sell better on ps4, second of all IN JAPAN Wii U  has a higher install base which means more sales. So sorry but how is it going to sell "way" more when it has less of a market to go to over there?

Good call by capcom to go with PS4 as the home console of choice in japan. It's exclusive there for ps4. no pc/xb1 version. Going wii u instead of ps4 would have been a bad call.

How's that Monster Hunter Frontier PS4/PC thing working out for you?

It';s working out great. MH: World in the west on PS4/XB1/PC and PS4 in Japan.

I remember making this thread a few years back. Over the last few years I've always made it known i'd really like to see MH back on ps4 and not exclusive to nintendo like it was last gen. Today my wishes came true, I am really happy to see it finally back on playstation.

Well it is no MH5 but I guess it'll do.

It's a big step up on the 240p titles of the past with ps2/psp assets.  Hopefully this means MH5 will also be taking a big leap forward.

Eh, not much really. The textures don't look that great and the lighting is kinda dull. Yeah, it's naturally going to look better than 240p, that's expected and not really rocket science but it doesn't look how I expected it to. When looking at games like Anthem, the now cancelled Scalebound, this game just doesn't stack up graphically. The 3DS and PSP, those are handhelds so there's not much else to expect from them. The difference today is Switch is more than capable of handling the graphics of MHW. I'm thinking that with the audience the handheld audience has, MH5 will most likely be on Switch. It just makes too much sense at this point. MHW just doesn't remind me of MH at this point, hopefully seeing more of it will convince me.

Let's be honest it's far ahead of previous MH titles which are ps2 era games technically.  on the Pro you'll be looking at dynamic 4k vs 240p. Much better online integration,  seamless world better graphics.  It's just leaps and bounds ahead.

Now obviously it won't be at the level of the creme de La creme such as Horizon or anthem which you mentioned.  It's got a hell of a lot smaller budget and it would be financial suicide to try and build a world as good looking as them.
