I've just updated the point count in the standings. I've yet to calculate the best score/best correct categories, as this takes a little extra time.
Keep in mind that an early low score can quickly be reversed if you start winning in later rounds.
Right now, Truck is tied for first with me (don't worry: I'm not eligible to win), followed by Miguel_Zorro in second and TheGoldenBoy in third.

I believe it on taking extra time. Tried to do some calculations myself to see if I still had much of a chance after my terrible performance in the first round. Two things I'm not sure of. When you said points for correct predictions per round you said one point first then 2 in the second and so forth. Was the so forth each round continuting to double so each round has the same amount of total points, or was it just the it continues to increase by 1 point per round so later rounds aren't worth as much?
Also how will you do the bronze medal prediction? Will it be worth the same as the gold medal prediction?

Sorry about that! I should have made that clearer. The way I've done it over the last two years is that round one victories are worth one point, round two victories two points, round three victories three points, etc. So the bronze match will be worth six points, and the final seven.
So there are 32 points to be won in the first round; 32 to be won in the second round; 24 in the third round; 16 in the quarterfinals; 10 in the semifinals; 6 in the bronze match; and seven in the championship match.
In theory, later rounds should be worth more and more (that's how I won my World Cup tournament when Germany finished first) but I was never able to find the right formula for this tournament. So I've just used this +1 method all along. Maybe next year I will change it up.
Anyway, with Ocarina as your pick for champion, you're looking really good, despite your current low score. I will post the best score/best correct categories today, for sure. Then you and everyone else will have a better idea of the playing field.
