What about people that couldn't play it originally?

PS3's are pretty cheap on Ebay. Back when in 1994, if someone wanted to play the first Metroid, they didn't bitch because their SNES didn't have a remaster of it. They either bought an old NES and a copy, or they didn't play it.
We wanted new games back then. Between 1985 and 1990, we got three completely new, mainline Mario games. Between 1987 and 1993, we got six Megaman games within seven years lol. Gamers USE to demand brand new games. You don't even have to go back that far either. Back when the PS2 launched, what were the huge games we got in YEAR ONE. MGS2, GTA3, FFX, SH2, GT3, Onimusha, Twisted Metal Black, THPS3... no remasters, no remakes.
That's how it use to be before these companies realized they could make bank off the ignorance of millennials. I am well aware that I sound like that "old guy", and maybe that's the case. Maybe it's just a case of shifting trends and early 20 somethings/teenagers enjoying playing old games on new consoles. I'm fine with that. But I personally don't like it. I would much rather play brand new games with new story lines that I don't know the endings to. Even if I hadn't played them, I STILL wouldn't approve because they're old tech. I don't know about you but buying a new console, imo, should be about playing next gen games. Not old gen games with slightly better resolutions.
