So i been playing alot of Metroid Prime Trilogy recently and just finished it. Im just baffled by how amazing the metroid prime trilogy is.  I also played every single other metroid game and i thought Metroid Other M was okay, not that bad as peolpe say it is. Music, atmossphere, gameplay, mood and preatty much everything from the Metroid Prime Trilogy is perfection. i really hope we get to see another metroid game this years E3, and nintendo has also really been giving Metroid alot of love lately. So i can't thank them enough and metroid franchise is my second fave video game franchise after legend of zelda. SO what you think? Does metroid deserve more attention? :)

Yes, Metroid is one of the best franchises of the whole videogame industry. Super Metroid and Metroid Primer are 2 of the best games ever made.

But sells like an "OK" game. Life is unfair.

Underrated? No, it gets very high scores. Undermarketed to the point of pure, unadulterated idiocy? Yes. So much yes.

It gets great review scores. If you mean it deserves more sales/attention, yeah, probably.

Like what others said, it generally receives positive reception and good scores but the sales are lackluster.

Definitely not the most underrated franchise in the world, but compared to Nintendo's other franchises like Zelda, the Metroid series is pretty underrated.

Super Metroid is one of the best games I've ever played, and the series definitely deserves more attention.

Deserves Halo level sales IMO.

I wouldn't call it underrated considering how much its praised. (except the Other M but that one deserves it) It does sell a lot less than it deserves though

its a series that just doesnt put up too high numbers. IMHO that has to do with the inconsistency of release and to a lesser extent the inconsistency of styles. SNES had one Metroid game that was damn good(and this is coming from a guy who isnt a huge fan) the GB one sucked. And then we went a whole gen without a Metroid, Then it was brought back as an FPS style thing, which now its being judged with the Halos of the world, not hard to wonder why its not putting up the numbers.
