Bloodborne is the definition of system seller.

People have been expecting to buy the dominant console, and are only waiting for a system exclusive like that.

Souls games have a good userbase on PS360 + PC... now everybody is going to PS4.

Yeap... system seller... no matter what fanbase you are if you want to play this game you will need a PS4.

It might be niche but it is the type of game people buy a system for. After all, there are only a few "Souls" games per generation.

I would have bought a ps4 with it if a game like Persona 5 was ps4 exclusive so I would say so

i think so.

Also i dont think Souls games are as niche as people like to belive they are, for example:

- Demons Souls sold 1.77 million copies and it was a game with no marketing or hype behind it.

- Dark Souls sold 3 million units across all platforms.

Both of those numbers are bigger than the best selling Tales of game, the best selling Xeno game or the best selling Persona game, and all of those are already established franchises not to mention that they are some of the most (if not the most) popular niche franchises out there.

See this being posted a lot and I don't agree, Demons Souls is near 2 million without any marketing, Dark Souls over 2 million.....An rpg that sells million is not niche at all.... Sony is really advertising Bloodborne, unlike souls, and it is different enough to stand alone from the souls series, bloodborne will do very well.

Exactly, it is not niche at all...Niche would be disgaea.....  RPG's that sell more then 2-3 million are the big hyped ones like Skyrim, Final Fantasy, not many sell more then souls, even the witcher as great as it is doesn;t sell that much.

yeah that is a niche game right there, and sadly its coming out the same day as Bloodborne, i really hope it sales arent affected because of that, since i really like the Disgaea games.
