Ps4 = 50 fps and X1 = 60? Wtf?

x1 has better  framerates on pretty much every single game that it had a lower resoltuion as far as i know

But thats what I don't get though. The ps4 should be powerful enough to render at a higher resolution + maintain equal frame rates right? Or am I missing something?

well then its obviously not. besides its 50% more powerful, which is completely different than xbox one being 50% as powerful. so xbox ones roughly 75% as strong right?

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

I've been playing it on PS4 and don't even notice the drops :o

Both consoles are usually operating at their maximum and since you can't just make up random resolutions to fit the performance at some point there will be a tipping point.

Of course PS4 could've also gone with 720p but then the additional power would've been lost. So 900p with minor drops was the best compromise.

Well didn't Respawn make up that weird ass res with Titanfall? It was like 792p or something loll

But either ways, I do understand where you are coming from, its just I saw this in a few other games too so it was a bit odd to me

I understand when I see different fps on different sites for PC games, even when on same config. But it's sure funny seeing it on fixed hardware - DF claims PS4 has lower framerate, while Gamingbolt claims exactly the opposite...it wouldn't be the first time though.

When the engine is custom, or new, its easier to aim for a custom resolution, but frost 3 is at least 2 years old, and there's already presets done. Easier to use those and try to minimize a few fps drops than build a new set of assets for a custom resolution just to eliminate drops that don't happen that often, DF said themselves.

Proudest Platinums - BF: Bad Company, Killzone 2 , Battlefield 3 and GTA4

You guys do realize that the framerate issues are due to too much taxing of the CPU right?

Now if they would have used GPGPU to help the cpu it wouldnt be an issue, but....they didnt.

Considering its already running at 900p on PS4 and 720p on Xbone, diverting GPU power to assist the CPU may have come at a steep cost.

Only natural with 56% more pixels to render.

This.  No more needs to be said
