Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Sadly, I'm Just Not Sure Nintendo Can Impress Me Anymore

http://www.psxextreme.com/ps4-news/2945.html

^This article almost hit the nail on the head for me.  My first console was an N64, and while I never thought it was better than my cousin's PS1; I didn't feel like it was worse either.

Then the PS2 came out and the contest was just over.  PS2 had more games, and they were far more diverse too.  Same goes for PS3 and PS4 (Except it continues to become more one-sided).

If they made some new franchise or another they might impress me a little.

This is the Game of Thrones

Where you either win

or you DIE

I was a little bit like this with Sony.

Loved the PS1 to bits, fell out of love with the comparatively soulless and bland PS2, was briefly interested again by the PS3, only to be disenchanted once more by PS4.

How was the gamecube a dissapointment? it got plenty of multi plats in the beginning espacially from western devolopers? And it got some good mature exclusives like resident evil the best looking game in this generation. It was the best nintendo console ever made.
Thats the way nintendo should go and stick with it, evetually their consoles would sell. Their problem is this whole changing around every new generation with new consoles, you never sure what you get with nintendo which scares a lot of people off

"Maybe it has been too long since Nintendo has grabbed me. Maybe I'm too old. Maybe when I look at Nintendo games today, I wonder why I'd bother when I have...you know, grown-up games I have to catch up on."

No more needs to be said.

With Tlou and Journey being exceptions, gaming as a whole has not been all that impressive in some time.

I was going to post it since I love posting quality articles in the morning but you beat me to it! Still it's not suprising these kind of news coming from a writer for a website called, psextreme.

Nice read.

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

I was starting to think that during the Wii era (though Mario Galaxy was a green shoot of hope), and then they started putting games like Pikmin 3, Mario 3D World out and such out again and I fell back in love.

I just hope they improve their handheld output.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I don't know why I bother lying, saying "nice read" when I didn't even bother reading this article! But now that I read that part, boy I can see this is quality stuff! I'll read it right now!
