Forums - Gaming Discussion - So Ninty mobile eh?.. Looks like it'll be Sega vs Nintendo again..

Could this be it.. Since Nintendo will introduce it's IPs to the mobile phone market, will Sega and Nintendo compete again? Might actually be a hidden plot twist imo. Also can we really blame Sega for going mobile and PC only? It seems even Nintendo was inclined to go mobile at some point, because it's just the way market is moving. So I think it would be great if Sega and Nintendo went toe to toe in the mobile market. I believe they both possess the best IPs that will easily suceed if developed correctly. All in all what do you guys think? Would you like to see a nice little historical battle reborn even though it isn't as epic as it once was? I'm not a fan of mobile phone gaming, but I can respect at least some aspect of that market will have old hardcore brands reignite their rivalry. Btw I don't mean Nintendo go full mobile, i still support their home consoles and actually hoped they wouldn't go mobile. I just wish I could say the same for Sega.

Meh Sega just embarrasses me now, and I say this as a massive Sega fanboy.

Unfortunately the problem is Sega of Japan vs Sega of America. The lack of cooperation between the two has caused the downfall of what awas once an iconic brand of gaming. I do believe with their deeper involvement in mobile gaming, they have freedom and the luxury to test out new and old IPs. Crazy taxi city rush, Sonic Dash, Super Monkey Ball, etc.

I would also say this, and I'm a Sega fanboy as well. (My very first video game was Sonic 2 on the Genesis/Megadrive)
