This game is so excellent, that it makes an 8/10 review look like a clickbait.

my only gripe is that the roster is smallish for a fighting game but the mechanics are insanely deep, i've had it for over a month now and i'm still trying to master the basic stuff |
oh thats awesome, its already my favorite fighting game for all this reasons:
- Really indepth gameplay mechanics for fighting game fans
- Accesible for both hardcore and new fighting game fans
- Decent Roster of playable characters (its not small but it isnt big either)
- Awesome Character Designs (every character plays very differently as well there arent clones or anything like that)
- Awesome soundtrack
- The stages are really good looking
- They manage to make the game look and feel2D when its actually 3D
i understand your concerns for the roster but as i said the roster is decent not to big or to small and there is already 3 DLC characters of which you can unlock 1 by getting 200 thousand world coins, (its not that much when you play the game a lot, or at least complete the arcade mode and you should be very close to those 200.000), also the GG series has a really big roster of characters so we can expect them to add a lot through DLC or just buy the innevitable definitive version that will have at least 6 or more new characters.
also who is your main?
mine is Ramlethal Valentine
although i sometimes switch to Sol Badguy

God forbid some of us are enjoy the exclusives the game has gotten so far. They may not be revolutionary or GOTY worthy but |
I agree there are solid titles worth enjoying. I never said there weren't. Dissapointing =/= bad.

And ultimately Dark Souls will be responsible for getting a few PC only gamers to buy a PS4 for Bloodborne and at least dabbble a bit in console gaming. And some 360 owners will hop across to PS4 because of this game. If the Souls series had never left PS3 Bloodborne would not be as pivotal an exclusive game as it is.

i know that, but if From Software wants to do a new spin off game for the new "Blood" series and capitalize on the userbase of two consoles plus PC, there is nothing Sony cant do to stop them, hopefully thanks to the strong reception of the whole soul series and the new Bloodborne, Sony might want to look up into making a Demons Souls 2 or Bloodborne 2... i mean whats the point in OWNING the rights to an IP if you are not going to use them for a sequel?

i've been playing mostly as chipp but i like sol and ky too
i like that chipp can teleport and turn invisible and stuff lol
yeah i was really concerned about roster size at first but now that i've played it for quite a while i realised that the characters all play vastly differently so its not really that much of an issue
and i totally agree on the sound and visuals.... feels like you're playing an anime or something lol
Interested to see what the sales are like, not expecting too much based on prior installments
