Sony definitely need a next gen GT badly. GT is a very european friendly game.

Okay I thought of a more direct way to respond to your remark.

So wine always gets better with age.

Was 2013 the best year the 360 ever had?

Was 2012 the best year the Wii ever had?

In almost every metric except personal opinion the answer to both of those would be no.

Was 2013, for the PS3 its best year ever?

Now we have a serious debate. The Last of Us, the most awarded video game in the history of our planet was released that year. That would be seen as the pinnacle of any company in my opinion.

Using this logic, and my original post, I declare that no, not every console ages like wine and consistently gets better with time. In fact I would say some consoles have a problem with premature ejaculation.

To be honest you should probably take what I just said with a grain of salt.

And take a chill pill dude lol

Where is your planet?

Because in my planet games like Ocarina of time, Metroid Prime and Mario Galaxy exists, and they had even better critical reception... or are you talking about the Grammies of the game industry? Because that´s... funny.

So if a console is terrible the first years but gets better at the end is better than a console that is amazing the first years and average the last ones?

Is now the last year of a console the one who decides wich console is the best?

Where is the logic of that?

Every console gets better every year until they die. Doesn´t matter if their best game is released the 5th year or the second one. In fact, is better on the second one, because you buy the console for some good reason, not just blind faith.

Both the PS3 and the Wii had the majorly critically recieved exclusives compared to the Xbox 360 last gen. I don't get the point of the argument. It exposed just how dependent upon this party Microsoft truly was even for exclusives. Now that Microsoft bought Gears of War and unveiled Killer Instinct those stars have slightly changed. Microsoft might not be able to outdevelop Sony and Nintendo naturally, but they can buy out properties and shell out cash for their development. Now everyone are practically beggining Microsoft to bring back old Rare titles because of how successful KI has been. The initiative this generation has been pretty successful towards using outside third party to develop Rare brand classics.

Nintendo and Sony both offer something different. Sony offers to a crowd that Nintendo will not even try to reach without third party intervention and Nintendo reaches an audience Sony has tried to crack but has failed to. In that light they balance each other out. Where Microsoft fits into the equation is that they have the shooters no one can touch like Halo and Gears. For the FGC, they also have Killer Instinct now.

Why are you so afraid of the Wii being passed?

Why are you so afraid of the idea that Playstation didn't win every gen it was in? A console being kept on life support long after becoming irrelevant doesn't consitute the industry still being stuck in that console's generation. The 5th gen did not end in 2004, the 6th gen did not end in 2013.

If you want to continue this discussion though, you should make a thread about it. This is veering far off topic.

This is getting off topic, but the Playstation would've passed the 100 Million console mark much sooner had they not launched with such a high price forcing people to buy 360's. Sony is a very dominant brand and on a world scale they are synonymous with videogames on a level that even Nintendo and Microsoft were never able to crack.

Think of it like this. At its lowest...the Playstations sales are pretty much nearly more than Nintendos second highest and equivalent with Microsofts highest selling console. That leaves one with much to think about.

Honestly, both could skip E3 and only people on gaming forums would notice. It's just a gaming expo, and there are lots of those, some bigger than E3. Nintendo and Sony can announce whatever they want whenever they want.

The funny thing is that every year even the mass media takes note of things that happened at E3. There is no gaming expo larger than E3 for consoles. E3 is like the Superbowl of expos where the major reveals are saved. Even the Microsofts brand has been preparing for E3 long ago in anticipation even though they've been to other smaller conferences like GDC.

The race doesn't stop when another gen starts.

How much money do you think Sony made of the PS3?

PS3 is by far the biggest loser of the seventh generation.

The PS3 served its purpose. Sony risked its launch to save Blu Ray and now every console enjoys it thanks to Sony saving it. Eventually Nintendo had to cave as well.

Wii U doesn't use Blu-Ray, it uses a proprietary 25GB optical disc.

Just read up on it. Yeah you're right. They are using a similar technology that holds less that Panasonic made. Makes sense, Nintendo was always paranoid about piracy.

sony just needs to announce GT7 coming out december this year and BOOM
