Forums - Sony Discussion - Will MLB 15: The Show reach 1 million sales in retail?

Will it reach 1m?

Yes 18 72.00%

No 7 28.00%

Total:25

An exclusive sports game that a lot of people tend to forget and published by Sony is MLB. I was just curious to see how much these games generally sell and most of them tend to be hovering around 700 - 950k. The last installment is currently sitting at 920k WW though it probably reached over a million including digital sales.

I was wondering whether the next installment, that looks to really bring a lot more will maybe top the 1m.

What do you think and how much do you think it'll sell accross all Sony platforms?

probably since they will most likely shut down the servers for the last game like they did to 13

But no single MLB game has ever reached that milestone, let alone on mulitple platforms. That is also why I'm so curious

I dunno. It looks like '13 didn't do so great. '14 arguably did better because PS4 owners were looking for something to play.

Its possible I guess.

Probabily.

The Show is by far the best sports simulation on consoles, and it certainly deserves to sell over a million.
Sadly, I will not contribute to the retail total as I will buy it digitally on Day One.
One reason why it does not sell a million is because it has almost no presence outside North America, no European sales really hurt it.

MLB usually sells a million every year. Whether it can do this on PS4 alone remains to be seen

Probably a lot easier now that the major league baseball 2k series isn't being made. Would explain the boost from the show '13 to '14.

if you mix ps3,ps4,psv maybe
