The dreamcast wasnt that reliable. When i bought mine a year ago the disc couldnt spin lot of times until i had to fix it to ajust the trigger or what this plastic thing is called. It has also a lot of issues with the power conector of the power supply to the mainboard, the pins can get lose and make the console restard all the time.
That's a cool story man :) The dreamcast was a console ahead of its time, and didn't deserve the low sales. I was shocked to find many indies and Japanese developers are still making games for this console to this day.
