That would ruin who Link is and would ruin the whole feel of the series. IF they did end up doing it, they better keep Link a mute.

Why would it ruin anything? Link doesn't have to speak, and voice acting is implemented in most games now. The fact that Zelda hasn't done it yet makes it feel antiquated more than anything else. Text bubbles aren't conducive to a game like Zelda. It's like the only modern AAA game that still doesn't do it. And that's not a good thing.

I was specifically talking about Link. :)

Having a lot of extra hidden items, areas and quests. Also not having a after you beat level 1 you have to beat level 2 before you can go to level 3 and less asstiance in directing where to go next, more of a puzzle. Add on like a seasons pass but not content that should have already been there but like 6 months later add a bit to the story and add items, dungens, ect.. Also voices instead of text.

Huge amount towns and villages with plenty of npc's. no more small villages/towns with only a dozen or so inhabitants, i want big areas with over 60 npc's in each with lots of houses, taverns, inns, shops and guilds just like the witcher and elder scroll series but in the style of loz with it's own weird and quirky character.

The thing I don't like about that is that bigger towns mean less memorable ones. I remember every single NPC in Windfall Island or Termina. I barely remember any from games like The Witcher or Skyrim.

I hope we get multiple towns with as much depth as the town in MM. Even if that means a lot less NPCs in each one.

1. I agree. Give me a few towns, each as deep as Clock Town from Majora's Mask (featuring various races, of course) and I'm happy.

2. Also, add voice acting, with "Hyrulean" as an option in the settings. Those who don't want their Zelda experience ruined by voice acted speech in words they can understand can have their game's VOs sound like the gibberish Midna and Fi speak, or the gibberish spoken in The Sims games.

3. Tougher combat and more action game oriented weapons (aLbW got the weapons right). I'm not expecting the combat to be on the level of a Platinum Games game, but add more sword moves than TP had (and add more moves to other weapons besides the sword), make all the enemies generally more challenging (SS did this to an extent cause I couldn't merely waggle and expect to damage most enemies)

3. Every other thing I want can be summarised as "merge the best parts of ALbW, SS and MM".

Finally, do the Zelda thing, and do it repeatedly. What this means for me is that the feeling I got when I solved certain puzzles in previous Zeldas (Skultulla dungeons in MM, twisting room in Forest Temple OOT, usinjg the lens of truth for the first time, drawing seals & the time shift stones in SS, Kafei mission in MM), the feeling I got the first time I caught a ghost in a bottle, the feeling I got when I reached the top of Ganon's castle and realised that Ganondorf was the one playing the dungeon music on a pipe organ, etc........

Just fill the game with moments I would never forget for the rest of my life.

I like the idea of dungeons being connected together somewhat, but I think making them all connected would maybe feel a little bit forced.

Looking at how Epona won't run into a tree because real horses don't do that I'd say it would be cool if some of the dungeons were connected, but not all of them, because in the real world not all caves are connected and enlessly big, it kinda goes back to what I was saying about not being big just for the sake of being a huge thing, they're epicly big to serve the purposes of gameplay they offer and because they work realistically within the kind of world Nintendo are making for this game.

Underground locations can definitely be big, connect to a bunch of others, maybe some walls are blocked off and you have to chop your way through some or some stone or other super tough materials block your access to another area underground until you find a strong enough bomb or defeat some massive enemy, like a troll or a rock monster with a power you have to progressively gain.

I totally agree on making transitions into and out of dungeons seamless to navigate to, like you find a tunnel and you go into it (whether it's climbing down ladders or just walking into a cave and traveling down naturally formed paths), walk around in the caves and dungeons, complete the objectives you need to, in order to progress and then you come back up to the surface, no loading times, just movement through the game world.

I assume what you basically mean is like in Minecraft, everything is one world and it all connects in some way?

If so that would be awesome, I don't see why that can't happen in this game.

The prospects of this just blow my mind as a gamer, I hope this is what Nintendo has been making.

When I say connected, I literally mean no loading screens. In every Zelda dungeon so far, there are multiple moments where you walk through a door, and the screen fades to black so the game can load the next room. I want to just walk into the next room, like I walk into a room in real life. So yes, exactly like Minecraft in that particular way. But I think that Dark Souls is a better example. Everything is in one world. It's not divided into little "pocket universes" everytime you enter a new room. As far as the game's code is conserned, you being in the first section of the first dungeon means that you are in the same giant world-sized "room" as the last room of the final dungeon on the other side of the map. And you could walk between those two points withought any transitions whatsoever.

I don't know if that's what he's doing, but if it is, I'd cry of joy.

Also, FYI, horses do sometime run into trees lmao. They aren't these majectic beings of perfection. People are much smarter than horses, and we run into trees all the time. You can bet your horses that horses run into trees too.

Your right this is zelda and it needs to catch up with it's competitors, Nintendo knows this thats why they are creating a huge open world, non linear game and presumably the towns and villages will match the scope of the world. I reall y doubt that you will like Zelda U.

These are elements of RPG games. Zelda isn't a RPG and was never trying to be one (except maybe Zelda II).

I may be wrong but Zelda is more of a blend between the action adventure and dungeon crawling genre with an overworld that the player can freely roam.

Your ideas might be suitable for RPGs like Pokemon and Fire Emblem, but defintely not necessary for Zelda.

We will see if they are necessary when zelda U is released. I think it will have elements of western RPG's, it is already moving towards western rpg's with its huge open world and skyward sword had upgradable equipment, surely more WRPG elements will follow such as health bars for enemies which has already been confirmed.

I can agree with the bolded, though I really don't mind collecting things. Maybe platformers have trained me so. I also disagree with the underlined, because while it can be abused, it can also be a great mechanic when used well (SEE: purple comet levels in Mario Galaxy)

I was under the impression that most people hated the purple comet levels. It's the most common complaint in reviews of that game for sure. I definitely didn't like them.

What are you talking about? None of those are WRPG elements. Open World is just the natural result of stronger hardware, and even so, Wind Waker was already open world a decade ago, and that wasn't influence by WRPGs at all. Health bars for enemies and upgradable equipment are decades old elements of JRPGs. Those aren't "WRPG elements" either.

-I want to draw in the gamepad the path of the horse.
-I want weapon upgrades by colectables (like SS)
-I want usefull items. Even out of the dungeon.
-I want memorable NPCs
-I want a melodic instrument(Not like the haro in SS, but more like the ocarina of OoT)
-I want a higher progression curve.(where you feel much more stronger than before after advancing on game)
-I want a gorgeous great fairy.
-I want to be suprised by new ideas.

As far as I've seen, there's never been a single town in a single game that matches Termina. It's other games that need to catch up with Zelda in that regard. I don't see why a village in Zelda U has to be 60 people large. The size of Termina's town is fine for a world as big as the one in Zelda U.

I'm not saying i'd like every town to be massive, You can have both, maybe 4 or 5 big strongholds which are teaming with activity accompanied with dozens of smaller villages or outposts spread around the map. If Nintendo do this then surely everyone will be happy.

I want the game to be more lively than what they've shown of it. I don't want it to be a barren world like Zelda 1 with no NPCs. I understand the connections they're making with Zelda 1 but I don't want 10 Old dudes, 15 Old Women, and 8 middle aged guys in the ENTIRE world. Nintendo is usually good about making lively Zelda games but this game has to be really good at it as the world is vast and easy to get lost in. I don't want to feel like I'm in there alone.

Also, I want battles to be more engaging than what they've been showing. The jumping of the horse Yoshi style is cool but I don't want that to be all link can do in this new world.
