Forums - Gaming Discussion - Does Anyone Feel as if Last Generation Graphics Look Blurry And Horrible Now?

Looking at most last gen games, I kind of see them all blurry especially when compared to the relativly sharp and crisp graphics of this generation. Is anyone else experiancing this? It's especially prominant in recent last gen and current gen games.

I always though last gen felt blurry even in 2007-2008, coming from a PC perspective.

The 720p or less really kills it when using a full hd tv.

That is why people really want 1080p this gen, and the 900p shenanigans  on some games and WiiU still on 720p makes people angst.

Perhaps now you can finally understand why PC gamers (or with PC + consoles) prefered to play all these great multiplatform games of the last 10 years in 1920x1080 or higher instead of 1280x720 or lower ;)

Not really since I have been playing on pc for most of last gen

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

That's 720p for you, though it's not just the resolution that's the problem.

Not really. I've put 230 hours in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen over the past few months and it looks great.

Not really. The games have been looking fine to me. I got done replaying the Gears of War trilogy and I thought they were as much of a blast as they were the first time. I'm actually thinking that the PS4/X1 probably could have waited another couple years. At least then both consoles should be able to achieve 1080p/60.

To be honest, if anything, I can barely tell the difference between this and last generation. This must be the most limp advancement in console generation leaps I've seen:

What I notice the most are the crappy textures. They are way worse than 720p.

Nope. Last gen holds up really well
