Well...You said it likely hasn't peak, a sentiment I agree with...so why are you arguing against a point you made?

But the 3DS did see a pretty huge boost last month, it had a big game, a well recieved niche game, and a new SKU. There have been plenty of reasons for the 3DS to do well so far this year.

No comparisons are necessary, and this is hardly the first time the PS4 vs. 3DS thing has been brought up. The OP is just saying that he is surprised/excited that the PS4 is outselling the 3DS, despite how well the 3DS is selling.

It's not like it's a big deal, is Nintendo going to come take your 3DS back if the PS4 outsells it? No. It's really nothing, just ignore the thread.

This is an odd comparison, no? A handheld in the declining phase of its life cycle vs a home console at the rising phase? Also, I assume to avoid any appearance of impropriety, you will make a thread declaring the 3DS is winning in the US in 2015 if N3DS momentum causes it to outpace PS4 over the course of the next few months. But alas, I doubt that will happen. Someone else will create that thread and those mocking the "downplaying" here will show up in that thread - if it comes to be - parroting essentially the very sentence I led off this post with.

This perfectly sums up most of these threads, and I hope that the N3DS wins in the US in 2015 now just to see it happen and how the people react and try to downplay it with whatever excuses they can come up with.

"Oh, but the 3DS has been out for a long time.", etc is probably what people will try to say. Lol.

If I'm bothered I'll update this thread for the year.  If 3ds does win I'll say well done,  just like people should say well done to the ps4 now. 

 

I do doubt that though,  because if it only outsells ps4 in the N3DS launch month by 50k I find it hard to see it beating it for the rest of the year especially when ps4 has a much better games line up.
