It's 200$ cheaper then ps4, had two big exclusives launch and a new model that is apparently supposed to see it keep going until next gen.  

 

Those threads most people were thinking in terms of x1 vs ps4. I remember predicting a slight win before someone pointed out the new model was releasing and i changed my mind.  If you read most of the comments people were saying 3ds.  

 

If February plus March is more in favour of the ps4 that'll be even bigger but the first 3 months will easily be ps4. 

You can't compare the price of handhelds with consoles. People are willing to pay more for a home console than a handheld, that's a fact.

Just because a certain product is cheaper than another doesn't mean people are more inclined to buy it. There's loads of people buying the overpriced Apple products after all.

If they made their product as appealing as the apple products you mention they'd sell a lot more for that price.  You cant take an achievement away from the ps4 because it's rival didn't sell itself enough.  

 

This thread is a straight up comparison between #1 and #2 for 2015 in the USA.  There's no two ways about it.  If you want to not give credit to ps4 fair enough but you can't change the fact it's winning this comparison.

PS4 had an exceptional February.  I'm saying those good decisions were still not enough to put it ahead of the ps4 for 2015.

According to you, we're talking about 2015. Yet you're talking about the DS and PS3? 

And like I said in the post you didn't reply to. The Vita is at 10 million in 4 years. Totally off-topic? Yes. Comparable to what you're doing? Also yes. 

 

Also, like as was already pointed out, I recall Sony fans stating you can't compare handhelds to consoles when Sony was losing. Now Sony is wining, (not February, though) and suddenly you can compare them?

Now you're comparing a PHONE to a dedicated handheld. No one would ever pay €700 for a dedicated gaming handheld. Or a console for that matter.

What I'm saying is everyone knew PS4 would outsell the 3DS in 2015.

You ignored why I brought that up. I brought it up to prove that playstation was David that gen and the DS goliath.  And with gen 8 playstation has slain goliath and become one. He asked for an explanation and i provided it.

Everyone didn't know.  A majority maybe but should that stop me making this compariso?  No. Because this is a sales forum and it's what we do.

You're willing to talk about the DS, PS3, and iPhones in a "thread for PS4 and the 3DS in 2015" yet you don't want to talk about the Vita?

 

Because I'm itching to talk about the Vita.

PS4's success has nothing to do with the 3DS's failure to sell as much as the DS.

PS4 isn't responsible for Nintendo's woes this gen. They didn't slay Nintendo. Smartphones and poor decisions on Nintendo's part "slayed" the 3DS and Wii U.

You want to see this in terms of a war between Nintendo and Sony but there honestly isn't one (besides the 3DS and Vita that is).

I just told you he wanted an explanation for the David vs goliath saying.  I gave it.  What has the vita got to do with that?

They did because they went from below to above them.  I'm talking in relation to this comparison.  If you want me to strictly compare home consoles I can make a wii u vs ps4 2015 thread but I did this instead because it's about the 2 best selling consoles.

I just told you he wanted an explanation for the David vs goliath saying.  I gave it.  What has the vita got to do with that? 

What do iPhones have to do with anything? What do PS3's and DS's have to do with anything? This is a 2015 sales thread. 

And I think the Vita deserves a mention too. It's probably the only thing the Vita deserves.
