I didn't say Dreamcast did bad. I meant that a financially struggling company like SEGA during that era sold more consoles and garnered more support for Dreamcast than a financially stable company like Nintendo did for Wii U. Not even Nintendo's legendary first party franchises are pushing console sale past 10 million anytime soon.

So you think you get banned only because people report you? And it never has anything to do with the context in which you made a statement? So you think the mods are using that as an excuse because they don't like you? Or are you making up some type of consipiracy to lead us all astray lol.

I wonder how people expect Nintendo to keep supporting the Wii U, 3DS, an upcoming mobile division and whatever they imagine NX is, all at once and practically on their own; they have showed with all these news in the past week that they are moving on and changing and the Wii U will probably not be their number one priority in 2015 and 2016, perhaps not even their second priority.
QoL, mobile, 3DS, Wii U and NX all at once; that's not going to happen and something has got to give, it makes a fair bit of sense that they would cut the weakest link in the chain to begin with.

It wouldn't be an excuse, it's literally in the rules. Your post could have been nothing but flowers and sunshine after the "fucking mods" and it would still get you banned.

It doesn't matter how many reports a comment gets. If there's nothing wrong with the comment, the mods will just ignore it (or on rare occasions come into the thread and tell people to stop reporting it). At most lots of reports just brings it to their attention quicker.

If you took a bit more time to consider the merits of potential counter points to your argument, then use that information to word your opinion in a way that doesn't stomp on those merits (not stating opinions as facts accomplishes a lot of that instantly), you'd be fine.

I'm not void of my own biases and strong opinions, but doing the above (as well as leaving discussions when the person you're debating with starts circling), has worked pretty well for me. You have plenty of perfectly valid opinions, some of which i even agree with. You just need to work on their presentation.

Anyway, that's enough rambling from me. I'd hate to get moderated for going too far off-topic while trying to help someone not get moderated in the future :p

Do you think they might run with the 'fusion' concept people have been discussing? If they could include the WiiU in that loop they'd be able to save themselves a lot of effort.

I'm not entirely convinced about 'fusion', i think it poses as many problem as it fixes, but it's a potential solution to their development limitations.

After the recent nintendo going mobile announcement, I'm filing this under the, not a chance in hell, category.

Nintendo have important priorities going forward. They are not interested in supporting the Wii U for much longer just to get it past a milestone that's irrelevant to them.

Clearly there's a conspiracy afoot.
