It's all about quality really. Generally speaking Console Zeldas>Handheld Zeldas.

True. But it also managed to outsell OoT. Granted, it launched when the system had a tiny userbase, but at the same time it was the only new game for months, while the 3DS is very healthy by now and has a vast library to choose from. And MM isn't nearly as acclaimed as OoT.
