Forums - Gaming Discussion - Do you think Splatoon can pull in CoD players/shooter fanatics?(to try the game)

What do you think?

Yes 51 21.52%

No 186 78.48%

Total:237

So I just saw this and thought of the thread, I know kills won't count(atleast not count points) as winning the game(maybe the devs will implement it in the future?) , but do you think the satisfaction of killing/shooting someone and see those inklings explode pull in some if not all CoD players or people who love shooters in general?

I highly doubt it. A lot of COD players probably only play COD on their system of choice so I really doubt they'd go out and buy a Wii U for one game.

No.

i think not but i will be defenetly buying it!

No. They're too insecure about their masculinity.

Shooter fanatics that actually play a diverse number of shooters would probably try out Splatoon, seeing as they're the type of gamers that are willing to try out new things.

At the same time however, it's on the Wii U, and the Wii U and shooter genre don't really mix.

As for people that only play COD, I don't think so.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It doesn't need to appeal to them. This IP will appeal to a whole different crowd.

i'm tired of this "anyone who doesn't play nintendo games is insecure about their masculinity" conspiracy. it's old now.

OT: no, there is zero chance of this happening.

Nice.

But really, it's not just Nintendo games. You won't see a casual CoD player going around trying out LittleBigPlanet or Ori & The Blind Forest, and there's a reason for that. Many gamers are very insecure about what they play and how people perceive them, and they think that they will be accepted as long as they play generic kill sprees.

Yes, there are open minded CoD players outside that will love to play a fresh and original shooter like this. But they probably don´t have a WiiU.
