I agree with OP, the PS4 library is extremely lackluster. Infamous SS is not a great game, I played it and got bored. It's a by the numbers sandbox game with little innovation.

The PS4 hasn't lived up to the hype and this year doesn't look like it will change things.

Troll alert... smh Infamous SS was an amazing game with very innovative powers & some of the best specials of all-time.

Don't feel like you deserved to be modded for that. I've been called troll so many times Idgaf anymore. Comes with the territory of having an opinion on the internet contrary to others. I am more excited about Just Cause 3. The latter might have a weaker story than Infamous but it's more fun to play.

why buy a ps4 to only play ps3 games, thats silly

Get a PS4 game not a PS3 port, if that doesnt work out then sell it and get another console that suits your taste or a steam machine.

Its pointless to convince the OP. Because it seems that he pretty much complained about every genre of game that everyone have suggested to him. From what i read so far, he's interested in fighting games but still complain that MKX looks too "Clay like". This is not the fault of the PS4, its the game developers who decided to go in this direction. Last of Us to him is too simple but he played it 3-4 times through on the PS3. He then tell us that he ported a bunch of "simple" indie games from the ps3 to the PS4. Most indie games are "simple" games, if they were so simple why even bother porting and if he's porting this indie games, does he actually think that by porting the last gen games, does he think that the PS4 will magically improve the game graphically?
I think his intention with this thread was just to nit pick at the PS4, in other words Downplay the ps4.

If you like fighting games, I suggest you buy an XBO. Killer instinct is good fighting game. It doesnt look "Clay like". Maybe even a nintendo Wii U for Smash brothers.

Smash brothers is a party-fighter.  I played it, and I cannot get into it.  I cannot get used to the gamecube controllers, nor the wii-motes, wii game pads. The PS2 controllers don't let you do certain special moves on the right analog stick, which was a bummber.  Never got a chance to use anything else.

Killer Instinct is too button-mash-friendly for my tastes.  I only played about 5 or 6 games before I gave up on it.  Mashing the same button isn't my idea of a fun combo.  Had it been tweaked so you couldn't do the same attack 4+ times in a row, it would be a bit better.  I understand all the other person needs to do is guess the strength of the next attack, which is cool, but offensively, the game feels like a masher.  Way too much.

If I get into your head well enough, I'm going to know if you're going for a light, med, or heavy.  If it's my first day with a fighting game, I shouldn't be beating you purely on fundamentals (not a single match) if you've had the game for several months.

I know Mortal Kombat X looks bad, but it's going to be fun to play, and I'm going to destroy everyone I come across.

I have steam, and I use it to chat with friends 99 times out of 100.  I've probably had it a year, and spent less than 6 hours playing on it.  Forget steam.  Nothing is interesting.  Batman looks fun.  Uncharted looks fun.  But, I want to limit how many easy, linear story games I get.  They lose almost all their charm after the 3rd play-through.  Meanwhile, for a fighting game, you're good until you forget how to play, or run out of people to play against.

I do not like FPS, you guys.  I've owned four on PS3.  Bioshock, and Bioshock 2, which I have not played yet.  Killzone 3, which wasn't all that great, but nice to look at.  And Bioshock Infinite, which was great.  Not interested in point and click gun games, it's really brain-dead-easy.

No point in telling me to get PS4 games when there's none that interest me, and the one I thought about getting, (Infamous) you're all saying it's bad (or bad enough for me to lose interest).   So, count me out.  Not getting a FPS until mirror's edge comes out (and I'm not interested in that zombie clone mirror's edge game).  And, that's using the term very losely as we don't even know if there will be gun-play in the new game.  There had better be, though.  Just because guns sucked in the first game doesn't mean you take it out.  Do it right the next time, for variation's sake.  I just don't wanna shoot people for the entire game.  Gets boring.

That's why I gave up on max payne 3.  It was a 3rd person shooter, but all you did was shoot, shoot, shoot....

Sorry you feel that way, to me the enhanced lighting and smoother models do make a visual difference. Infamous for example really impressed me with scale and effects. I do agree it is odd seeing games in 2015 be cross gen as do want everyone to make the leap and really push the PS4 to its full potential (I think Last of Us to Uncharted 4 shows the PS4 can do more).

Also, the PS3 did things I never thought were possible on it, PS4 still has years to go and excited about possibilities.

Nah if he's a fighting game enthusiast like me, he should either stick to PS3 and/or game on the PS4. For current gen, the PS4 has more fighting games than both Xbox One and Wii U combined. I'm strictly talking to the taste of the OP and what's available in that said genre.

to bad not every one is satisfied with everything PS4 offered, but that's normal, maybe you can wait for more exclusive games coming this year, and don't judge cross gen games to determine how good the console is , because most cross gen game is just a prototype for developer to learn a new hardware.

Buys new console, gets all the games he already had on ps3 and no ps4 exclusives / next gen only titles?

Sorry. i don't buy it. Who buys a new console and plays only games they already have or have already played for the older console?

People with not enough money to buy nearly every bigger game available. He said he got many as cross-buy. Obviously he got the TLOU-remake. And he got the console for Mortal Kombat. This isn't completely strange behaviour, it mostly seems more or less what some people do.
