Smash brothers is a party-fighter. I played it, and I cannot get into it. I cannot get used to the gamecube controllers, nor the wii-motes, wii game pads. The PS2 controllers don't let you do certain special moves on the right analog stick, which was a bummber. Never got a chance to use anything else.
Killer Instinct is too button-mash-friendly for my tastes. I only played about 5 or 6 games before I gave up on it. Mashing the same button isn't my idea of a fun combo. Had it been tweaked so you couldn't do the same attack 4+ times in a row, it would be a bit better. I understand all the other person needs to do is guess the strength of the next attack, which is cool, but offensively, the game feels like a masher. Way too much.
If I get into your head well enough, I'm going to know if you're going for a light, med, or heavy. If it's my first day with a fighting game, I shouldn't be beating you purely on fundamentals (not a single match) if you've had the game for several months.
I know Mortal Kombat X looks bad, but it's going to be fun to play, and I'm going to destroy everyone I come across.

I have steam, and I use it to chat with friends 99 times out of 100. I've probably had it a year, and spent less than 6 hours playing on it. Forget steam. Nothing is interesting. Batman looks fun. Uncharted looks fun. But, I want to limit how many easy, linear story games I get. They lose almost all their charm after the 3rd play-through. Meanwhile, for a fighting game, you're good until you forget how to play, or run out of people to play against.
I do not like FPS, you guys. I've owned four on PS3. Bioshock, and Bioshock 2, which I have not played yet. Killzone 3, which wasn't all that great, but nice to look at. And Bioshock Infinite, which was great. Not interested in point and click gun games, it's really brain-dead-easy.
No point in telling me to get PS4 games when there's none that interest me, and the one I thought about getting, (Infamous) you're all saying it's bad (or bad enough for me to lose interest). So, count me out. Not getting a FPS until mirror's edge comes out (and I'm not interested in that zombie clone mirror's edge game). And, that's using the term very losely as we don't even know if there will be gun-play in the new game. There had better be, though. Just because guns sucked in the first game doesn't mean you take it out. Do it right the next time, for variation's sake. I just don't wanna shoot people for the entire game. Gets boring.
That's why I gave up on max payne 3. It was a 3rd person shooter, but all you did was shoot, shoot, shoot....
