Here are my thoughts on the roster so far:
- I am anticipating this game a lot. MK9 was my favorite fighter last gen... but I gotta say this roster so far is super disappointing. There's 18 confirmed so far out of 24-26 so there's not that many slots left. Sektor, Baraka, and Cyrax should have returned, and not Kung Lao and Kitana. I know people get revived in MK all the time but I thought they killed them all off in MK9 to start fresh in MKX
- Too many relatives! It seems so redudant and a waste of roster space to have all the Cage family there. Cassie would've been just great as the sole Cage, because she can combine both Johnny and Sonya's moves. Now it seems like more clones. Same with Kung Jin and Kung Lao, Jax and Jackie. Should've just been Jax, Jackie doesn't look all that interesting.
- The first 4 revealed charactes (Dvorah, Kotal, Ferra, Cassie) looked great and diverse. But now the new characters revealed since then (Takeda, Kung Jin, and Jackie) look like the many lame characters MK4-MKA gave us. Kharacters like Dairou (UGH!!!), Nitara, Kira, Li Mei, Daegan, Dhramin, Jarek, Kai, Darrius, Kobra, Shujinko, etc. etc. It's not looking good now.
- Erron Black could change that. He looks badass. But there are substantial rumors he may not be playable right away and may be DLC. If this happens it's a massive mistake.
- I am still hoping out for the OK MK4-MKA characters like Fujin, Kenshi, and Tanya. Noob Saibot (MK2) would be great too.
