10,000,000 or less: DOOM

20,000,000: terrible

30,000,000: sufficient

40,000,000: good

50,000,000: very good

60,000,000 or more: success

100,000,000 or more: incredible

Depends on the developing and marketing costs, and if it is able to profit with a good margin in regards to these costs.

Standards may change from console to console. For example, the original Xbox sold good for what it was. If X1 only pushes those numbers, even if it profits, it won't look good.

After R & D and marketing it has to show profit for the console maker. It may be one unit sold for 10 billion dollar or 40 million units for making respectable profit. It depends.
