Forums - Gaming Discussion - Which platform has/had the best sharing program?

Pick One

PS4: Shareplay 35 40.70%

PS3/PSP: Multiple Licenses 2 2.33%

3DS/DS: Wifi Multiplayer 4 4.65%

Steam: Family Share 44 51.16%

Last gen, sharing was so much easier, but this gen has been locked down pretty tightly.
Moving forward, what do you think the standard of sharing digital should be?

PS4: Shareplay- Pass control over the network to a friend or have them join multiplayer with you.

3DS/DS: multiplayer wifi- Some games allow you to play multiplayer wifi games with only one copy of a game

PS3/PSP: Multiple Licenses- In the past, ps3 and psp gave multiple licenses per digital purchase that could then be shared with friends

STEAM: Steam Users on PC can authorize up to 10 devices to share their digital library with. The authorized users may access your library at any time, and when the primary account holder would like to play, it notifies the other user and gives them a couple minutes before re-allowing access.

XBOX ONE: Beg the company for months before they appeal awful ideas because they embarrassed themselves in front of the entire world at the biggest game journalism convention of the year, just so that you can share games the same way people have been doing for years.

STEAM has the best.

Xbox One you can use the home console option and share games.

That wasn't a feature, it was an exploit. Wasn't it? I mean, buy a digital game and it allowed you to download it 5 times. (most people only needed to once) but people realised they could log into their mates PS3, then download it and then their mate owned it as well. It wasn't advertised as a feature just abused which is why they started limiting it.

Hmm, pie.

Why? He's not lying. It's what they did.

Yet, it's strange they are not on the list. It would have been great if they kept many of their original sharing ideas for digital only games without a check in every day (to make sure we weren't theives).

Hmm, pie.

Ps4 has share play along with the ability to share games from other accounts on your ps4.

PS4

If Nintendo allowed the single cart function over the internet. I would of picked that. But PS4 share play wins for me. Everything else really needs to have the log in info for the other person. I still want a system that shares a game, it's disallowed on the master account, and temp given to the other person. Real life lending like. Of course if you ask for it to be reinstated. The master account is in control still. So dicks can't steal games.

Steam, there's been many times where a friend of mine buys a game and the sharing allows me to try the game ebfore I feel like buying it and it's pretty awesome service for PC users.
