Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Madden NFL 15 joins EA Access Vault.

Madden NFL 15, the latest edition of EA Sports' football franchise, has been unexpectedly added to the vault of games that EA Access subscribers may download and play.

EA Access tweeted out the news this afternoon. Madden NFL 15 joins NBA Live 15 in the Vault, along with 2013's Madden NFL 25 and EA Sports UFC, which launched in June 2014.

Unlike the NBA, the NFL's season is over, concluding a month ago with the Super Bowl.

EA Access is available only for Xbox One subscribers. Sony declined a deal to offer the program on PlayStation Network, saying at the time that "it does not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect."

Electronic Arts has said once a game goes into its vault, it will not be removed. Current vault games include Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, Battlefield 4, Need for Speed Rivals andPeggle 2. The service also allows players a six-hour sneak preview of certain games in the weekend before their release.

EA Access costs costs $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year.

That was pretty fast, less than a year since its launch.

Same with UFC and NBA Live 15. Next will be FIFA 15. All these games for $5 a month or $30 a year is awesome value.

Edit: Actually, that's how its been for every EA Access game.

Wow I didn't expect it to go into EA Access that quickly, doesn't bother me that much though (bought it day 1) I've gotten plenty out of the game the past 7 months. Hopefully Dragon Age is in the vault soon enough.

They should take $5 off immediately for putting that game in the vault

I think this is pretty bad actually. Seems to send the message 'don't buy our games since they'll be in the vault in a couple months anyway'.

Good for anyone that has EA Access.

I have EA Access. I also bought the game at full price. Wish I'd just waited now...

Well now you know not to buy at launch and you can spend your money on other games you want I personally wait till after trade deadlines to buy sports games since I hate starting modes and then having a player traded in real life.

Well it was 6 or 7 months so you got to play it throughout the NFL season. Now that its over there's not much incentive to buy Madden. And if it is being bought its used. So they threw it in the Vault. I'd say its a pretty good system. If you really want a game then buy it at launch. If you know you can wait then wait.

Not so much

I'm just worried FIFA will be next (bought it for both PS4 and Xbox One and I've barely played them either )

Oh lol that sounds like a personal problem then. You're better off waiting. Not sure how its a bad thing for them if they're still getting money from subs.

Also, its only on 1 platform.
