Forums - Gaming Discussion - The best boss battles of 2014?

Recently we had a thread asking your favourite boss battles ever.  That got me thinking that in many games today boss battles are no longer important or an integral part of the game.

With that said many games still have awesome boss battles.  So what was your favourite boss fight from a 2014 game?

Mine is probably the final boss fight in infamous second son.

I feel like the boss fight in Second Son is an extremely low bar to match. I thought it was pretty underwhelming.

I didn't think any boss fights were any good, though I still haven't played Bayo2. If it's anything like Bayo1, I'm putting my money on whatever that was.

; ) Bravely Default`s. Such excellent boss music (battles against characters with job systems usually. The ones against monsters in the different towers is okay...)

I wasn't blown away by it.  It's just the best from the games I played unless I'm forgetting something.

Final boss of Drakengard 3. It's the ultimate troll but I had a lot of respect for it.

Similarly, a boss from Bayonetta 2. Frickin' Valiance. Although it's a minor boss, it's a joy fightning him.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

That picture makes it look like he's got a giant dick growing from his head lol. How unfortunate!

Bayo 2 just has epic bosses. Seriously, each one is fantastic. I especially love their designs.

From what little I have played of Freedom Planet and what I have also seen of it, it has some great bossfights.
