Forums - Sports Discussion - 2015 MLS Thread: Major League Soccer enters 20th season

Just like this pic.

On the other matches, Columbus with a big win over Toronto 2-0.

Chicago losses again, 0-1 to Vancouver, and have to wonder how bad situation will get over there.

I watched NYC defeat the Revolution 2-0 in front of 43K fans. It was a much more enjoyable game to watch than last week's game versus Orlando. I think this is partially due to the team having more chemistry and Yankee Stadium featuring a smaller field (110yd x70yd) leading to a faster-paced game.

Other results over the weekend

Dallas 3-1 Kansas City
Salt Lake 3-3 Philadelphia
Seattle 2-3 San Jose
New York City 2-0 New England

Villa's play for them will be critical for thier attack. When he has space he can be deadl. Orlando did a great job keeping him in check, New England got burned twice today.

On the dimensions, I cannot say I am crazy about the stadium, it certainly makes it difficult for visiting sides used to more space.

San Jose over Seattle is a shocker. Sporting KC needs to get their stuff together.

I think the lesson learned there is Brad Evans is not who you want at CB.

How did NYCFC play? Completely forgot the game even happened until just now

They played well, big stand out was David Villa and his ability to take on defenders.  If he can play at that pace all year he'll be huge for them, concern is how they adjust when sides focus on him.

Other note is Montreal representing league well with first leg 2-0 win in Champion's League semi-finals. Admire how seriously they take the competition.

Good to know. Colorado up next right? They any good?

Also, video not available in my country

Colorado have been in abysmal form, want to say fifteen consecutive matches without a win.  Most people right now are saying they are front runners for Wooden Spoon with Chicago being main competition.

New York City should play to win, but Colorado might hold them to 0-0.

I just thought this was well done.
