Apparently the Steam consoles/machines will launch this fall in a dozen different configs and will be more powerful than the PS4/X1 "for the same price".

Welp.

If they're under $400 ... I'm in. Steam library poops all over the PS4/X1 libraries, especially if you can run emulators of retro platforms too. They showed Unreal Tournament running at 4K resolution too apparently.

You dont even know what steam machines are do you. They come with SteamOS which is Linux, Steam games on Linux=LOL

Like not even 5% of the library of the Windows version.

Around the Network

I still dont think these will catch on very well

PSN & XBOX GT : cutzman25

"More Powerful Than PS4/X1; Same Price"

Also false, by the time these things come out in november, PS4/Xbone will be at $299, possibly even lower. "for the same price" probably means $449-499 which would make them $149-199 more expensive than the PS4.

I still dunno who they are making these things for, if pc gamers wanted to game on tv they'd get a console and also benefit from the exclusive games.

First, that's illegal. Second, if you want that, just get a PC? Wait, they are PCs. :P

Yet, I'd be surprised if they weren't more powerful, I mean 2 years after the PS4/Xbone were released, I expect any new console released to be more powerful.

I wish them luck in their endeavour though.

Emulators are not illegal. What is illegal is downloading the ROMs off websites, but a lot of people (not the majority, but still plenty of enthusiasts) copy their game data directly from a disc or cartridge that they own to play on emulators in order to play on PC. For older games, they can do fun stuff like hacking the game and for games from the gamecube era and newer, they can play those in HD.
