SNES all the way. I've always noticed that Sega's visuals seemed a bit off when it came to muliplat games, I could be mistaken since it was 20yrs ago.

Genesis did however have some killer exclusives I had/loved that SNES didnt have. ie. the X-men games and Lethal Enforcers with the gun.

I had Lethal Enforcers for the Sega CD. Me and my dad LOVED that game. So much fun.

Sweet! I didn't have the Sega CD, just the regular Genesis version.  Most people loved the first Lethal Enforcer but I really liked the 2nd one moreso for some reason.

Neo Geo Master Race

Super NES all day every day, but the Genesis had its charm too for sure. What a great gen for gaming.

Agreed. In my humble opinion, it's the best gen so far; such close competition between two systems that each had own personality and style drove both sides to break new ground and push the envelope. No other gen to date has as many classic games in my book.

Super Nintendo: RPGS, Mario. Zelda, DK, nuff said.

Genesis. SEGA's first party titles, MUSHA, Gunstar Heroes, Rocket Knight, not to mention SEGA CD's very underrated point and clicker and RPG library.

genesis didn't win the US, it was winning for a while but it also had a 2 year headstart.  It did win in Europe.

I'm pretty sure by the time Sega's next console launched, the Gensis was winning in the US. It lost WW though.

yes but the genesis came out 2 years earlier and the saturn came out 1 year 4 months earlier than N64 so cutting the comparison off at the launch of the saturn makes no sense.  SNES still thrived for quite a while after Genesis died off.  Sega stopped production in 1996 of the genesis while the SNES was still selling very well.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Snes for me.

F-Zero, Secret of Mana, Mortal combat I & II, Street Fighter II, Donkey Kong Country I & II, Starfox,
Super Mario RPG (my favorite game on snes), Chrono Trigger, Super Mario world, Zelda Link to the past, and the Final Fantasy games, ActRaiser ( nr 1, nr 2 wasnt as fun), PilotWings,.... I could go on.

So many greats on the snes.
