Forums - Sony Discussion - Project Morpheus coming first half of 2016 with OLED Display 1080p/120 FPS

Holy shit! 1080p, 120fps, and the first half of 2016? That last part sounds like it'll be out in time for some GT7 support...Sorry, I need to sit down, I'm feeling a bit faint.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Now how much is it going to cost?

300$

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Wow, 120fps and 1080p... how much will this cost? o.O

I assume 120 FPS will obliterate our eye sight and make our heads explode. I am so ready for this, i just hope it doesn't become another Move.

They said one of the demos there is running at 120FPS native. So basically no blur at all.

Apparently the OLED screen also helps with motion blur. I think Sony's VR headset will be the most impressive but I'm thinking it's going to be expensive.

With those specs it's likely to be expensive. I'd say $350 with a game isn't out of the question.

sony announced ps4 specs and everyone said it was going to be soo expensive due to GDDR5 (or whatever) ram and then blamo,.  $100 cheaper than xbox with better specs.

...sony learned their lesson with ps3.   it won't be cheap but it will be the absolute best possible hardware one can get for a reasonable price.

Plucking all the right notes (:

Hmm I just need to know how much it's going to cost.
