head, eye tracking ofcourse is in development, but afaik is not compact enough yet, but it should come in a few years and could improve visual quality a lot, because only the area the eyes are focussing on needs to be displayed at high resolutions

I just had a brilliant idea, Rollercoster tycoon exclsuive for PS4, build you theme park, then RIDE your attractions. See i doubt they can come out with more than 2 killer morpheus games but if they can populate the platform with really clever games or a plethora of decent games ( as seen with the ps4 so far) then morpheus could do pretty well

Occulus Rift version of Rollercoster Tycoon.

I agree with your statment that there will be difficulties to make games that work well. Space games like No Man's Sky, Racing games and girl watching games like Summer Lessons will be good but I have big doubts about FPS, Adventure and Sports genres.

This thing is amazing. This will be the next revolution in gaming. This will sell ps4's. I mean, one just has to look at past successes to see this thing is poised for massive success. 3d tv? Check. The world clearly loved wearing lightweight glasses to watch TV in 3d.... plus, I've always wanted to strap a virtual boy to my head. This device will single handedly save sony.

I thought you were serious at first. Lol, totally different things.

Really though, they're not that different.. the big similarity being that you must wear it, like the glasses on a 3dtv. 3d tv is not very successful, because people don't really care much for wearing lightweight glasses... imagine having to wear this heavy, big thing. As it is currently, I can't see it selling more than a million or two.

As far as the virtual boy, just put a tripod on it, and bam! It's a virtual boy. Lol.

here is a video of some mechanics Japan Studios came up for using the DS4 in VR https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2cj4MsbLgo

most of them are very rough demos, from 18:25 on it shows 2 of the demos for the press at GDC which have higher graphical fidelity, especially the one starting 21:16

21:16? The video is only 19:56 long...

Anyways! Those looked sweet! I can already see somebody making a space shooter using the controller (though probably not looking like the controller) as the ship. Very excited to see what developers come up with for this.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

This is going to sell worse that Vita.

Why? Because its going to be expensive and people don't like to wear stuff like this.

funky, looks like they reupped the video and cut off the last demo shown in it - it was 22:XX long before and the last demo was a sort of doll's house with many of the robots doing different activities and looking at a part triggered special events
