I mean how hypocritical can one be? jim carrey and liam nesson are also examples of hollywood actors being hypocrites. I'm not anti gun,but I'm also not a hardcore gun-nut. I like these actors that I mentioned, but I think they just need to shut up when it comes to guns. At the very least practice what you preach. So is anyone going to watch the gunman, which has the same director as taken? discuss.

If an actor who is against Nazis depicts Hitler, is he a hypocrite?

completely different things...

are you against murder?
have you played a game where you have to kill someone? then you are a hypocrite? LOL

?

Most gamers aren't violent but will play a game that's considered violent.

Exactly. I have paid money to see films where people pretend to die, but I'd never watch an actual snuff film.

It would be a different story if he shot someone. :D

This is a non-issue if I've ever seen one...not that the movie looks that good anyways, I'll probably rent it at some point though.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I'm confused. Why do we care what Sean Penn doing/thinking?

HE IS NOT REALLY THE GUNMAN, he is just acting. Jesus...

You guys are making a mistake. This isn't a vegetarian eating a steak for a role; or a Jew playing a Nazi. This is GLORIFYING gun violence. That's the difference. Movies with Nazis don't glorify them and if they do, people WILL question the crew's motives. People don't make a movie glorifying RAPE, and if they do, once again people WILL question them. No, Nazis and rapists always tend to be villains.

He's an actor, his on screen image doesn't exactly portray his actions in real life.

This is akin to saying violent movies and video games represent the personalities of the people that play them and watch them.
