Forums - Sony Discussion - Project Cars PS4 exclusive feature!

The DS4 speaker added a lot in Alien Isolation while using the scanner. That also used the light bar.

It would be nice if games started to make more use of the track pad. The most 'advanced' I've seen so far is in Terraria, zoom in and out with 2 finger motion. I hope Tropico 5 supports the track pad as a mouse cursor, but from the trailers that doesn't seem to be the case.

its an excellent feature, a new dead space using that feature would be ace

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I love when they use that speaker for stuff in games. I still remember it scaring the crap out of me when i played Resogun at launch, for the first time.

I liked having the Transistor's voice come from the controller. My favorite use so far is the awesome *shiiiiING!* noise of your blade during occasional death blows in Shadow of Mordor. Always super satisfying

yeah those two plus the spray can in Infamous were really good uses of the feature, good to see that the developers are actually using this feature.

Almost forgot about the nice clicka-clicka noise the controller makes when you shake the can. Perhaps this is one reason I really like Sony exclusives, they tend to actually use the features of the system.

That wasn't sick!

I can't remember if the Wiimote did something like this, I'm sure it did for a few games.

Would be interesting to see what they have planned for the WIi U version's gamepad, possibly map features or something guidance based would be nice.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

Yes the Wii has this.  Makes me wonder why Microsoft didn't include this in their controller.

Yeah, I honestly don't know what they could have planned for their version, a tablet or phone app I can't see going with a racing game so well since you're always keeping your hands on the gamepad most of the time and watching the screen, I don't think the Kinect has any audio speakers so they can't really use the same feature Sony has, would be interesting if the game came out later when Holo Lens comes out, they could have used that for their unique ace, it'll probably be used for some future race game at some point I'd imagine.

I freaking love the speaker in the DualShock 4.

It was used in an awesome way for environmental "surround sound" in Shadow of Mordor, too. And the clever DS4 usage in Transistor really adds something to the experience.

It's likely that the development team didn't plan on making any extra features for any of their versions but sony came to them and asked for this neat controller feature. They are very proactive this gen.  Unless nintendo or Microsoft push for anything extra they likely ain't getting it.

Anyone know if this releases the same day on pc,  ps4, xbox one,  wii u?
