The qestion is simple, among the first-party published game, which ones do you think each of them is best and worst at? I think Sony is best at hack n slash, simulation racing and TPS games. MS is best at FPS games. Nintendo is best at platformers.

First party published? Does Ratchet and Clank fit in that category?

Sony publishes them so it should fit

Sony and Nintendo are great allrounders so it is hard to decide..

Nintendo: Platformers (Mario) and Action-Adventures (Zelda and Metroid for example)

Sony: Third-person games but especially TPS. Also Racing Games (GT or Motor Storm) 

I can't comment on Microsoft because i don't really know their games that well..

edit2: add RPG's to Nintendo (how could i forget that!?) - Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi, Fire Emblem, Xenoblade

I was just wondering, because Insomniac develops the games. But if it counts:

Sony: 3D platformers , action-adventure (Uncharted), racing sim, hack and slash

Nintendo: 2D platformers, whatever genre Zelda is in (adventure?), kart racers

MS: FPS, TPS (Gears)

one question, is this about which genres do we think the big three's games are the best in the industry, or best of the big three?

But publishers dont make games so im confused

Honestly they all have a wide variety of genres theyre good in whether it be Microsoft and KI, Forza, Halo, Gears, Ori, Phantom Dust, Lost Odyssey, Viva Pinata, etc or Sony and Uncharted, Sly Cooper, ICO, Gran Turismo, Etc you get my point.

But if we are going to go with most success

Microsoft - Shooters (Halo, Gears, Perfect Dark)
Sony - Action Adventure (Uncharted, InFamous, Shadow of the Collosus)
Nintendo - Platformers (Mario, Yoshi, Kirby)

Microsoft - Shooters

Sony - Action Adventure
