Forums - Gaming Discussion - It takes 10 hours to beat Sunset Overdrive and 9 hours to beat The Order......

I'm guessing Sunset Overdrive's 10 hours are mostly playable. The Order is dangerously close to being 50% cutscenes.

I just finished my playthrough last night. The second half of the game is non-stop action. I don't know a percentage but I would say 80% is playable.

On top of that just not being true, I've always said that Sunset Overdrive should have been a $30-$40 game, regardless of multiplayer. Same with Infamous SS.

That being said, I don't even think The Order is worth that. It's a rental game. $20.

Yeah, not fair. The Order should only have a 10% worse rating. Instead the rating is 18% worse. Only shows the extreme anti Sony bias in the media.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Who cares? I'd take a great short game over a long boring game any day. Halo and Gears titles average around 6-8 hours. But I've completed them numerous times because they're fun.

Anyhow, Sunset Overdrive has more content thanks to online play and other tasks around the open world. The Order is a linear single player game with little value beyond that.

What is missing is gameplay from The Order. You should compare The Order to a game like Bioshock Infinite. It would be a better comparison.

I liked the game, but there is not a single chapter in The Order that is non-stop action, let alone the whole second half of the game.

There are entire chapters that are non-action stops, though.

Oh look, someone named PlayStation_prophet is salty about a PlayStation exclusive not being well received. That's a plot twist I don't think even The Order could pull off in it's 7 hours of cinematic storytelling.

And then BloodBorne comes in with 100's of hours lol

Why would you compare this game to Sunset Overdrive? Sunset Overdrive is primarily gameplay where as The Order aims to be be a TPS that is more heavy on the cinematic feeling. It would much rather tell the story to you.

As far as I know, it takes 40 minutes to beat Braid!
