I just got a 250 GB PS3 for $137.50 from my prefered local pawn store and need some ideas for games to look out for. I grabbed Darksiders for $5 but didn't see much else, just sports games. Right now I plan on getting Little Big Planet, Ni no Kuni, Journey, Ico/Shadow of the Colossus, and some Ratchet and Clank games.

Demons Souls, Valkirya Chronicles, MGS4, The Last of Us and Uncharted 2 are must own tittles

- TLOU + DLC left behind (best games of PS3, easily)
- Puppeteer (hidden gem: poetic, nostalgic and funny game)
- Infamous 1, 2 and 2.5 (all are equally good)
- Metal gear solid 3, Peace walker and Ground zeroes (Metal gear solid 1 and 2 are good too if you haven't played them before, I didn't like and didn't finish 4, the best metal gear being maybe Peace walker IMO, I know some of those Metal gear aren't exclusive to PS3...)
- Uncharted serie (1, 2, 3), good but not that good compared to TLOU or even Tomb Raider (you should play Tomb Raider too, it's far from being a PS3 exclusive, but the PS3 game is an excellent version!)
- Jak and Daxter 1 (poetic platformer similar to Ratchet and clank, avoid J&D 2 and 3 that are basically mindless shooters)
- Braid
- Fez
- Limbo

Some of those games aren't exclusive to PS3 but really must be played if you haven't played them before.

What kind of games/genres do you like? That can help I guess.

But even then, games that I feel are mandatory for any PS3 owners are the Uncharted trilogy, The Last of Us, both inFamous, Red Dead Redemption, Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, God of War III (and Ascension, depending on your opinion)...

And then depending on your tastes, I can recommend Valkyria Chronicles, Final Fantasy XIII, Ni no Kuni, Deus Ex Human Revolution... if you missed the PS2, there's stuff like Okami HD too

R&C collection, R&C Tools of Destruction, R&C A Crack in Time, R&C into the Nexus. yeah, if you couldn't tell, I'm a big Ratchet and Clank fan. And I know you said you were gonna get some R&C games anyway, but just to inform you, these are the best ones.

Also if you like platformers, get Sly Cooper collection, and Sly Cooper Thieves in Time.
