I got stuck in Borderlands 2 and never played it again.
I was also in a similar situation as you when I played Tomb Raider. I wanted 1000G but could never get one achievement cause it glitched for me 3 times.

games don't really "beat" me, but if they're bad, stupid, or boring, I might quit, and I usually don't go for 100% completion by default just because I'm not interested, so there's that too... *shrug*

I do like Sahz but he's the weakest character (in terms of damage) of the bunch. Snow is alright if used well but I never needed a Sentinel, so I barely used him. With Hope, Vanille and Lightning it's terribly easy. All 3 are Medics, all 3 are Ravagers, Lightning is a Commando, Hope is a Synergist, Vanille a Saboteur. |
I completed FFXIII without dying once on my second playthrough
I was using Vanille, Fang and I don't remember the last one
my 6 strategies were
1. Syn-Syn-Syn
2. Sab-Sab-Sab
3. Rav-Rav-Rav
4. Com-Com-Com
5. Med-Med-Med
6, Sen-Sen-Sen
Fang and Vanille are the best Syn and Sab
Start with Syn and wait until everyone has Haste and all the other buffs
Then switch to Sab and debuff all the ennemies
Then use Com and Rev to stagger the ennemies
Once the ennemie is staggered use rav to bring the stagger percentage higher and a few seconds before it ends switch to com for max dmg
If the ennemie uses a powerfull atk put everyone on Sen and then heal with everyone on med

sure why not, yeah I played Morrowind for years on the xbox original, so many saves lost through freezing. I think Morrowind was the most broken ass game on that console lol. |
It was probably the most broken game in that generation. haha. I still liked that bastard. I really liked the freedom that ya had with your character and that you could make it as OP as you wanted. It sucks that the series is still buggy to no end and there's a lot less freedom in 'em.

oh man... those challenges... people think souls games are hard, but in reality they cant compare to those challenges, i remember when i finally beated challenge 6 i shouted so hard out of the excitement, i think thats the biggest feeling of "acomplishment" that i ever got from a game.
now the only game that beated me, (as of now) is Shadow of the Colosus, and thats because of time challenges and the problem that the HD collection has, were youre character just cant grab onto some of those colosus for more than 3 seconds making some of those challenges (like the 3rd one) almost impossible, that being said i will still go back to that game eventually and get that done.
I do think GTA series are hard for me. I played them many times on my gaming handheld JXD S7800B so far. But i love playing because it's so challenging.
I can not think of any game having ever "beat me" but I have decided a game or specific challenge was not worth the effort. If I decided I was going to do something then I did it
a lot of oldschool games
Ninja Gaiden
Ghosts and Goblins
8 eyes
Legacy of the Wizard

Getting to and beating the final boss is incredibly difficult in of itself... but after you beat the boss you have to start all over from the beginning on a harder difficulty mode and THEN beat the final boss again to see the ending
I just threw in the towel once I discovered that.
Yep, ol' G&G was on my unwritten list. Here are your 'rewards' for beating this game (top one for beating it twice somehow).
