Read a Story on Dualshockers about Sony looking into crowdfunding:

With all the dormant IPs up Sony's sleeve, how would you guys feel about them running crowdfunding campaigns to revice dead franchises

Personally I would donate to a Socom crowdfund, a Wild Arms crowdfund, the list goes on so I'll just stop there.

Vote B*tches

Also express why or why not

No. I've never done it before and I wouldn't start now.

Depends on the project. I wouldn't just do it because it's a playstation thing. The game itself would have to intrigue me.

Hard to think of anything of Sony's I like enough to pay them for some three years in advance.

I'd crowdfund a new Front Mission, though!

I kind of asked the same thing here. Basically most people said that when companies/developers who have money do this that it's just insulting/greedy/etc.

No, not because it's a bad idea or anything but since I have not spent a cent on Sony related soft- or hardware since I got burned by Shadow of the Colossus and that is how I intend to keep it.

Yes, it's a good idea. Sony has a lot of dormant IPs from the PS1 days that belonged to for example Psygnosis (Colony Wars), there's also stuff like Jumping Flash, Parappa and Ape Escape that could work well as they don't require AAA budgets to make.

yes, especially if we can get a new LOD through crowfunding.

I wouldn't support it in terms of donating, but its a great idea. As long as they deliver and not back out like some Kickstarters do.

No I Wouldn't. I fund them enough by buying a lot of their games digitally along with their consoles and ps plus.
