Forums - Gaming Discussion - EA thinks EA access isn't good value to its costumers

3 of the better games on EA Access are not even available on PC.

So does EA give PC owners less games for the same cost? That might piss off console subscribers.
So does EA replace games like NBA Live, Madden, and UFC with other games that are on PC? That might piss off console subscribers.

EA already has Origin on PC. They can offer free games and sales and discounts through there. They can't put Origin on consoles. This is their next best option. MS welcomed it, Sony decided against it so that it wouldn't compete with their own services lol.

And Origin englobe EA Acess? Guess not.

Pretty much this right down to the nail, I'm more than happy with getting free games on the house any time I log onto Origin, I haven't really bought anything on Origin since they deal in Euros and not pound sterling but I like their interfacea and the free games, I;d rather take that than pay a sub to access games, it's exactly why I dislike PS+ in the first place.

I don't get why people are spinning this now, almost half a day ago it was "Xbox gets EA access BF hardline earlier than PS" and fans opposite of XBox don't blame Sony but instead blame EA even though Sony declined and said EA access wasn't good enough for them, now hours later after seeing a few small pokes of PC being thrown in we're now at "How come EA access isn't put on PC, maybe not EA is wrooooong" which implies none of it was Sony's fault and somehow Sony have the ebst taste in declining something that competes with them, it's clear to see where the spin is coming from and it;s getting right annoying.

I just wish those sore against EA for this would accept that Sony declined EA Access, this is entirely on them for not supporting it, PC isn't something at all that should even be dragged into this as pointed out that Origin is different to EA access.

Looking after the fact that after several months of the debut on X1 it still wasn't offered on Origin or other PC/MAC I can only think they think they think it isn't valuable to their costumer.

Or it is quite possible MS had to pay to have it exclusively and Sony didn't cover the offer. Why else would EA block access on their own service?

If EA and Sony think it isn't enough value maybe they are right. On PS+ for 50 you get 36 games a year and usually 25% extra discount on several games. On PC with steam you can buy a plethora of games for 50 and big discounts while at unbeatable subscription free price. While you only get 8 games and 10% discount so the only place it could more or less compete and complement is where they gone.

What is your opinion on why it is available on X1 and not even on Origin? Or is Sony guilty on Origin lacking it?

Because EA Access is 8th gen exclusive. Origin has 7th gen games included.

EA Access is it's own thing, they decide which games are included in it. This is a flimsy excuse.

Out of 8 games available in EA access 4 are not available on PC that simply justifies why Ea access is not available on PC.

PC version includes different games. Done.

Does anybody actually use Origin though?

I do, I've so far acquired 4 or 5 free games from them. Never bought anything.

But the arguement is a good one, why isn't this service on PC?

Because if you got 5 free games without buying into their subscription,  EA Access really doesn't offer the value people claims and with the bottom priced bundles from Steam,  EA can't really make the case on PC

But EA should access their customers an option.

Why pay a sub when ea keeps  on giving free games on origin and discounts.

Which shows EA knows EA access isn't the best value for costumer, preffering to give them Origin only in PC. Seems Sony was right so far.

Lame reason I must say

1. Origin is a service for PC through which Ea offers games to its consumers. The service is mainly used to play EA games but they also try to bring other publishers on board and yes few publishers do release their games. They need to attract consumers to their service so offering few free games now and then is basically a way to get consumers on board. Another incentive offered by them is Game Time which basically gives you access to more latest games for a specific amount of time. And like other services they offer discount on several occasions to boost sales during that period.

2. Consoles are not open like PC is and consoles are in much more controlled environment where companies have right on what is published and what is not. So therefore EA cannot offer Origin like services on consoles until they partner with console manufactures so basically EA decided to make EA access for consoles a subscription which gives you access to certain number of EA titles and also gives 10 % discount and early access for few games.

3. If you play EA games which many do I believe EA access has great value for them.

If you start comparing the price of a game and add them its better to just buy EA access which is much cheaper.

Hahaha why isn't Peggle 2 on PC?

In Summary, Origin is better value than EA Access right?? I also think PS+ is a lot better value than EA Access... you can't say in PC it is okay to skip EA Access because Origin is better value buy say Sony is wrong for not ofering a third party service while the offerer itself don't offer it on their own service.
